A nazi pope, that is a good one. Yes, he might have been in the Hitler Jugend when he was younger, being caught up in the nationalism of his country, which would make him MORE suited for being a high-ranking member of his Catholic faith because he knows how the other side thinks. Usually, the best preachers are the ones who were the biggest hell-raisers when they were younger. God forgives ALL who regonize their sin and repent, so the pope is more than forgiven, his sins were thrown as far as the east is from the west in God's eyes.
As far as gay bishops, that caused a split in the Episcopalian church. There are many sects in Christianity. The ones who hold true to the basic precepts of the Bible will prevail, the ones that try to conform to the secular progressive thought of the day will wither and die. Christianity will never die as long as people are sinners. It has been around for 2000 years, long after thousands of its critics are dead and buried. As far as statistics, Christianity DEFIES it. Who in their right mind would hold true to a false belief when they are about to be dipped in pitch, crucified, and set on fire? Who would hold true to a false hope when they are tied to a pole and are being eaten alive by hungry animals? Christianity should have died a painful death right about the time that Jesus was taken down from the cross, but for some reason his followers began running around saying that he rose from the dead, and were willing to be tortured to death defending their idea. According to tradition, Peter was crucified upside down. Paul was beheaded. John the revelator was dipped in boiling oil but didnt die, so they exiled him to the island of Patmos. Stephen was stoned to death.
Christians around the world today are still humiliated, ridiculed, beaten, and tortured to death for their faith. That kind of faith will never die.

The Christianity today is not the same religion practiced 100 years ago or 1,000. Religions fluctuate and change over time, including their core principles. 400 years ago, Christians believed the world was the center of the universe, that all women were inferior to men, that disease was influenced by religion, and that public execution was acceptable for theft and other petty crimes.
I do not think that today's Christianity, with its focus on abortion, gay marriage, and other new issues, will survive for more than a century. But religion lasts for a long time because it relies on emotions, not reason, or science. In the best circumstances, I suspect that we'll see a trend toward liberal religions, and less of the fundamentalist branches. Maybe most people will end up as agnostic, to preserve some possibility that a deity exists, but retain their scientific understanding of the world.
In short, I don't see an end to Christianity soon. Islam seems to be growing at a fast rate, too. But in the next thousand years, all religions will undergo changes that will make them difficult to compare to their current forms.

Jesus said that Christianity will be spread all over the world not disappear. We may see here and there but what is in the heart that counts "going to church or not" will not keep us away from Heaven. The more you see the more we are near to the end. Christianity will never disappear because the word of God is and will always be now and forever.

After the rapture (rapture: Jesus will come again but this time take the souls of everyone who has the Holy Ghost in them and take them to heaven) , satan is coming to earth and will take over and force everyone to worship him, so yes Christianity will be gone as well as every other religion except the jews, id say in the next 50 or mmmmmmaybe 100 years. The Jews are the only ones who won't give into satan because they are Gods chosen people. They are going to have another holocaust type thing for the jews but even worse this time and Jesus will come back to save them as soon as they admit Jesus is God. But yes I am 21 and believe that this will all start in my lifetime.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Christianity is not going away anytime soon. Christianity is exploding all over the Third World. Out of 1.2-1.5 Billion adherents worldwide, some estimate the number of Christians in Mainland China alone to be over 100 Million, this merely 60 years after the Communists attempted to wipe faith out.
Your best hope for Christians to go away is the Rapture of the Church. Then the Anti-Christ can go about his business of killing every new believer in sight.

Why are you so keen to know that? Will those followers of that religion will matter your belief and your life?
Be a true person and do the best and right actions in your life. Complete your responsibilities. These are important as a human being and blessed with the intelligence and health.
Now in this world most important thing is Peace. All followers of world religions should understand that and should leave their arrogance and their interest in converting others to thier faith. This will lead to coexistance and world peace

Christianity will never dissappear completely from the earth. There are many right now, that are trying desperately to make Christianity disappear, but it won't happen.
God says that His word will be spread to the far ends of the earth before the end comes. That means that Chritianity cannot completely disappear.
All Christians will face many things in the end times, including persecution. If we are willing to face it and hold strong, we will be happy souls in the end.

Faith-based Christianity will disappear one day. There will come a time when everyone can see Truth plainly and there is no need for faith anymore. At that time, all knees will bow to Christ.

As time goes by, the lies of the world are drawing more people away from God's love. Stimuli are overwhelming all around us. TV, video games, radio, all the multimedia draws us away with its intoxicating high.
I know, because I battle it daily. Why is it that porn producers, drug companies, politicians all want the same thing from me? My time and my money.
