It's a pretty good quality, entry-to-mid range CD player. Pioneer has improved the display over last year's model, which could be very difficult to see at certain angles. The front input jack is convenient, though I personally prefer rear auxiliary inputs. I'm not a fan of the button layout; the tuning buttons are too small and grouped too tightly around the volume knob, making them difficult to use. If you plan to use it with an i-Pod, it's probably worth stepping up to one of the Pioneer IB models with the fast i-Pod cable port.
