Well I know for one that dogs feel and question things and can reason and think things through, I am witness to this on a daily basis with my dogs.
Cats as well have pretty darn good reasoning skills, and I believe feel as well.
Many birds are incredibly intelligent and feel, think thing through. I even know one that can totally hold a conversation and talk back.
Pigs are very very intelligent and definitely reason things out, why do you think Orwells "Animal Farm" had the pigs as leaders? *wink*
I also know that swans and geese mate for life, and will become very despondent when their "partner" dies.
And yes, apparently dolphins do enjoy sex!

I'm just not sure about the creating of tools but then I believe that is subjective as animals use tusks, claws, paws, noses etc for a variety of uses.

Humans are not the only ones who:
Question things around them. Every creature from
mankind to a kind of insect is capable of--and has
reason to--explore their day-to-day surroundings.
Enjoy sex? While there's no possible way to prove
that an ant, beetle, cockroach or any other bug can
sense an sort of ecstasy through the act of mating,
it's certainly indisputable that they know how to do
it quite well. Insects of almost any sort populate the
planet in no less numbers than humans do.
Feel? There's no question that insects are capable
of sensing any obstacles put in their path; therefore
they can "feel" any foreign objects that might inter-
fere with their daily tasks.
Dogs, cats, and any other animal you care to name
can also not only feel, but they can also express
both happiness and sadness; frustration and fear;
etc.
Animals are not capable of manufacturing tools,
much less has there ever been any evidence
that an animal has developed into any sort of auto
mechanic, carpenter, or exterminator.
But insects are quite capable of molding a pile of
dirt into a hard ball--and they use those for tools.
What the exact use of that sort of tool might be is
somewhat of a mystery to us humans.
I hope I answered your question satisfactorily.

1. Some primates use tools.

2. Not sure. Some mammals are capable of simple memory tasks. Whales have larger brains than human beings, and their songs have the intricacy of a symphony. But as far as I know, only humans are capable of forward planning. This may be related to our earlier days as hunters and gatherers. The ancestors who stored food for winter survived to reproduce the next generation.

3. As homosexual behavior has been observed in over 100 mammalian species, I would assume animals enjoy sex. But it's also the primary drive of reproduction.

4. Of course. Animals with nervous systems are capable of pain and being cognizant of that sensation. Humans are more similar to animals than we tend to think. And many birds and mammals have stronger sense of smell and sight.

We are only beginning to study and understand other animals, so my guess is that we do not know yet. Animals clearly know more then we tend to believe. There have been animals that use tools, there were chimps who were witnessed using sticks to pull ants out of a hole, and chimps picking up rocks and hurling them when they felt threatened, also they have seen mandrill baboons walk around with sticks for protection. Bonobo chimps definately enjoy sex as do cats and other primates and mammals. Animals definately feel things that we can never imagine. Dogs are said to be able to feel earthquakes and trains coming from miles away. And I read recently about a certain monkey that has different names for predatory animals. This monkey had a certain call for a leopard and another call for a hawk, and when they were in danger they would sequence these calls and head for protection. I read that in National Geographic in Febuary I believe so check it out. They think this monkey is forming some kind of simple sentence when they are in danger.

Are you old enough to determine the life of human being to the life of tools? Is the tool breathing? Do not be made crazy for this.

I know dolphins and humans are the only creatures on this earth to enjoy sex.

I don't think so. We think about us that we're the only ones who reason, but that's because we can't understand what exactly reason and intelligence is.
