I've gotten about 2/3 of the way through the program and I'm going to watch the rest in a moment, but I'd already seen a clip of Sweeny "losing it" and screaming at that Scientology representative, and I've got to say, having seen how poorly Sweeny had been treated by the S. representative thus far, I'd say it was a long time coming and completely deserved.
What do I personally think about Scientology? I think it's a dangerous, destructive, greedy, scamming cult.

I actually looked into scientology a little. The part about recalling memories to help overcome bad behavior is very intriging. But there is some questions about some of the manners they operate. It feels as if you are being inducted to some kind of secret organization and you don't get to know what it is until you are already in it.
I chose not to remain a part of them, and have since dedicated to trying to get back to a true Christlike faith. I would still be willing to work on the memory recall part if there was some kind of professional code of ethics like a minister or doctor.

Scientology was founded by a science fiction novelist and his writings. Seriously, if you read about it, it's filled with some wacky beliefs that sound like something out of a science fiction novel, oh wait...never mind. Also, I've heard that L. Ron Hubbard mingled with people involved with the occult.

Scientology is a body of teachings and related techniques created by American science fiction author L. Ron Hubbard. Created in 1952 as an outgrowth of his earlier self-help system, Dianetics, Hubbard later characterized Scientology as an "applied religious philosophy" and the basis for a new religion.[1] The name "Scientology" is also used to refer to the often controversial Church of Scientology, the largest organization promoting the practice of Scientology, which is itself part of a network of affiliated organizations that claim ownership and sole authority to disseminate Dianetics and Scientology.[2]Scientology claims to offer "an exact methodology" to help humans achieve awareness of their spiritual existence across many lifetimes and, simultaneously, to become more effective in the physical world. [3] A goal of Scientology is to rehabilitate the "thetan" (roughly equivalent to the soul) to regain its native state of "total freedom." In addition to its promises of spiritual rehabilitation, Hubbard's "technology" offers specific programs for diverse areas including drug rehabilitatio

I don't mind being friends with Scientologists. In fact, I don't being friends with people of any new age religious beliefs.
As long as they still place importance in helping others and loving their family. Friends who are not trying to convert me is a good sign that they respect my ability to make my own decisions on what I choose to believe.

Its good to have them let God used their intelligence in knowing what is still unknown to man, but they should not disregard God to have been created by God and it was God who give them enough power and intelligence in discovering things not stated by God.
