Yes. Look in a King James Bible and you will find the name Jehovah 4 times. Ex. 6:3; Ps. 83:18; Isa. 12:2; 26:4.
Jesus is the name of God's Son. John 10:36

YHWH is God's personal name with out vowels. Put the vowels back and say it in English you will get Jehovah.
Jehovah is God the Almighty in the bible.
Psa 83:18 That [men] may know that thou, whose name alone [is] JEHOVAH, [art] the most high over all the earth.
Ex 6:3 And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, as the Almighty God; but by my name Jehovah I was not made known to them.
Jesus in heaven IS a Divine being but he is not the same being as Jehovah.
Mar 13:32 But of that day and [that] hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
Jesus is God's Son, not God himself.
Mar 1:1 The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God;

If you look into this you will find that Jehovah is the most common form for God's name.
Is it the most accurate form? Maybe not. However this is the form you will find in many English translations of the Bible.
Yahweh may be more correct.
Then again Jesus may not be the best rendering for Christ either. There doesn't seem to be much concern over the use of that for God's Son.Yeshua is probably closer.

Remember God's name in Hebrew is YHWH...when translated into the english language it is Jehovah...let me tell you though...there are many gods...Buddah is a god, Jesus, etc...but there is only ONE TRUE God...and his name is found at Psalm 83:18 in many versions of the Bible...King James, New World Translation etc....however some Bible scholars have removed Jehovah's name out of the Bible...if you would like to more...i can provide you with that information or you can obtain a copy of the book..."What Does the Bible Really Teach" and all the information is Bible based...not what "we JW's" say...our beliefs are based on the Bible...you can request a copy by visiting our website...watchtower.ORG...if you have any questions...please get to me and i will be glad to answer them if i can...

In English, God's become attentive to is declared "Jehovah." In different languages, that is pronunced in a different way. to those who say there's no "j" in Hebrew, you dont seem to have an impediment saying "Jesus" or Jeremiah or "Elijah." So why do you insist that "Jehovah" is faulty? Be prevalent! God's call in different languages: Awabakal - Yehóa Bugotu - Jihova Cantonese - Yehwowah Danish - Jehova Dutch - Jehovah Efik - Jehovah English - Jehovah Fijian - Jiova Finnish - Jehova French - Jéhovah Futuna - Ihova German - Jehova Hungarian - Jehova Igbo - Jehova Italian - Geova jap - Ehoba Maori - Ihowa Motu - Iehova Mwala-Malu - Jihova Narrinyeri - Jehovah Nembe - Jihova Petats - Jihouva Polish - Jehowa Portuguese - Jeová Romanian - Iehova Samoan - Ieova Sotho - Jehova Spanish - Jehová Swahili - Yehova Swedish - Jehova Tahitian - Iehova Tagalog - Jehova Tongan - Jihova Venda - Yehova Xhosa - uYehova Yoruba - Jehofah Zulu - uJehova

Jehovah is an English version of the German translation of the Hebrew Tetragammatron YHWH, the name of God that He told Moses was His name. (Sometimes translated I AM THAT I AM or the SELF EXISTENT ONE).
Ancient Hebrew did not use vowel points and the Jews did not pronounce the Holy Name of God (they used Adonai (lord) or Hashem (The Name) instead, so we don't know exactly how God said it to Moses. Some think Yahweh or Yahowah might be right. German did not have a Y sound, they use J for Yah sounds and w's are pronounced with a V sound, hence Jehovah.
Jehovah's Witnesses are a cult of Christianity founded in the late 1800's. They deny the Trinity and believe that Jesus is the archangel Michael. They also believe that only 144,000 of them go to heaven, the rest will live on earth and the non-JWs will cease to exist when they die.
You'd be wise to avoid them.

People were using the name Jehovah for centuries before the JWs. They just don't fear using it. Here's an article on Pat Roberts on the subject.

Theres alot more history to this name than what you will learn from the Jehovah's Witnesses as they will only give you their take on it. I suggest you do some more reasearch on where the name came from, from others sources as well. Look up tetragrammaton and heres a bit more

No, that is not his actual name. Yahweh is his name, but there was a misinterpetation to English. As for Jesus being his name, that depends on your beliefs. Some Christian beliefs are that the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit are all one, and are all God.

As a Hindu I believe that it doesn't matter what name you call God by because God is all names and is beyond all names. You can call God by the name Jesus, Allah, Krishna, Zeus, or Bob and it doesn't matter. God knows your heart. When you pray to God, though words come out of your mouth, they derive from the heart. So whatever name utters out of your mouth, the heart only knows that it wishes to address God...and since God knows our heart it doesn't matter what name you happen to utter from your mouth. That's why God doesn't just answer only one group of people's prayers but instead answers all people's prayers. Because God knows the heart of the devotee who is praying.
Peace be with you.
