I mean in terms of the three most intelligent, articulate, astute commentators ever in Nascar in 1 booth, and the 3 most retarded stuttering dumbasses in the other. The only rule is whoever you pick, has to have been a regular commentator on a major network for Nascar in the modern era...ok...here's my booth of great commentators...

Bob Jenkins, Eli Gold, Mike Joy

and here's by booth of mental retards...

Buddy Baker, Ken Squier, Chris Economacki!!! lololol

Those three in a booth would be a riot...it would start like this...

Economacki: "Welcome my friends, as we are live in the deserts of Mongolia for the Camel Race Classic!!!"

Squier: "Now Chris, you're getting senial good friend, we're at Daytona, in the gerrrrrrurrrge area! OH AND WE'VE GOT TROUBLE OFF TURN 4!!! OH!!! SAVAGE TRAGEDY EVERYWHERE AS SURELY NOBODY COULD HAVE SURVIVED THAT CATACLYSM WE'VE JUST WITNESSED!!!" (as the driver casually exits slightly damaged car)

Buddy: "Now that there i dun tell ya was a whomper!"

I really think the best is in the booth today.

You have a 3 time champion driver. A championship caliber crew chief, and a great stat guy in Mike Joy. Those guys know the sport from every angle. You can't beat it.

The worst is any crew that has Bill Weber on it. He had to be the most annoying commentator ever.

"24 days ago, the 24 car won the 24th race of the season.. who starts 24th today? Jeff Gordon"

I hated that.

I can agree with the Jenkins-Gold-Joy combo.
But the fact that Chris Economacki was the sports broadcaster that convinced ABC Wide World of Sports to televise a "stockcar race"thus brought NASCAR to T.V. and out for the country to see I can not put him in the thumbs down group but would replacehim with Wally Dallenbach.

Best
Eli Gold, Rusty Wallace, Bob Jenkins

Worst
Pretty much anyone they put in the booth, I'm so tired of Larry Mac's annoying inbred accent, (put some tars on it) I can't stand Jeff Hammond trying to make love to himself in the camera lens (fake orange spray on tan and all) and watch and pay attention not only to how long it takes them to point things out, and then how often they are wrong about them, me and my buddies were just this last week talking about how we can't believe these guys get paid. I enjoy a commentator who knows racing and while these guys do know racing you can't argue that, they are not well spoken, and often try and hype things up to make them more exciting. And then there is the issue that god for bid you are not an Earnhardt, Stewart, Johnson, Hamlin, or some young guy who barely made the race and hung in for a top 30 that they'll rave about all day fan, you have to get track pass to know what the hell is goin on with your car. In all, it nearly ruins the race I think. Sorry didn't mean to go off on a rant, GREAT QUESTION, the commentating is killing me lol.

The ABSOLUTE worst: Darrell Waltrip, Larry MACKReynolds, and it wouldn't matter who else, because nobody could save those two from being absolutely deplorable. They may know racing, but they cannot communicate it to the masses.

Best: Eli Gold, Benny Parsons, and Dave Marcis - EASILY

I would like to see Daryl Waltrip, Kenny Wallace and Larry the Cable Guy now that would be hilarious

Waltrip & McReynolds are the worst....

I use to hate Buddy Baker, He's a dream compared to Waltrip...

Marty Reid or Alan Beswick for play by play
Kyle Petty, Wally Dallenbach or Chuck Bown for color.
