If "God judges" is first then there is no need to be saved our behavior is what matters.
If the "belief in Christ" is first then our behavior does not matter (e.g.) Murder rape... is ok as long as I believe in Christ in the End.
Which is it boys and girls?

The forgiveness that is in Jesus Christ is conditional upon "repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ" (Acts 20:21). It is a gift that God offers to everyone, but individuals must receive it by repenting and trusting in Christ, or they will remain dead in their sins. No one has biblical grounds to continue in sin, assuming that they are safe just because Jesus died on the cross.

The NT has a passage contained therewithin stating
that Jesus is the mediator between God and ourselves
when we are judged.

If one has a belief in Jesus, then one follows his ways and teachings, and therefor one would use Jesus's example
and teachings as their personal template; which, by the way, do not endorse or encourage murder, rape, and so forth.

By the same token, God is a merciful God as one can see
in the examples in the Bible that relate that Cain was not struck by a lightning bolt for murder, nor was David
thrown into a hellfire pit for committing adultery.

If God is agape, unconditional love, then one would assume that God loves and judges without being restricted to our man made human restraints and bounds.

In context to the Bible, God is NOT purported or said to be human, or even humanlike.

Furthermore, to state that there is no God implies that one would be God, or omniprescent theirselves, as God is stated to be.

Belief in God or Jesus is a personal choice, just as it is a personal choice to follow the moral tenets and law in the Bible, or to follow the rules at school, or of the road when driving.

God does not judge anyone.
(John 5:22) For the Father judges no one at all, but he has committed all the judging to the Son,

Jesus is the judge.

(Revelation 20:12-13) And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha′des gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.

The judgement is not on what we have done wrong. This is clear from ;(Romans 6:23) For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our death paid for all our sins.

We are judged on how we react to God's new system.
Those who refuse to accept it have a bleak future.
(Revelation 21:8) But as for the cowards and those without faith and those who are disgusting in their filth and murderers and fornicators and those practicing spiritism and idolaters and all the liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur. This means the second death.”

The scripture can make things very clear. But they must ALL be considered, with single scriptures NOT taken out of context.
Example; According to their deeds means Not what they previously did, but what they INTEND to do.

Most Christians believe that Jesus is actually G-d. So both came first. No sin is ever right and justice must be meted out for the offence. The "old Testament" is all about offences and how G-d rightly demands justice for wrong-doing. But if your heart is changed, then G-d's mercy can save you. G-d's mercy for everyone who needs it is available because of Jesus sacrifice on the cross for us. The "New Testament" is all about salvation from offence, because everyone will fall. It is also about the ways in which people can avoid wrong-doing by enabling them to truly repent and obey the law from their heart. So you see, you cannot just keep sinning if you want G-d to be in your life (neither this one or the next) Both the law and grace are equally necessary. Law without grace is death and grace without law is death.

okay, i'll try it in little words you might understand...all have sinned and come short of God's glory. Christ came as a sacrifice to take away our sin, so that we can live again in heaven...it is not a 'free pass' to do whatever we want...in the Bible..that would be that big book that people carry into that building with a cross on it (a 'church') one of the things that Christ said quite often was 'go and sin no more'...amazing how many people ignore those five simple words...
i hope that wasn't too complicated for you...

God judged the sin of his people at the cross. Any sin that isn't covered by the blood of Jesus Christ is under God's wrath. Our sin is paid for if we have faith in Jesus Christ. We can't have faith unless we have turned away from our sin, repented. Repentance is turning away from sin, and it's also turning to God, at the same time, in the same moment, we focus on God and what his will is, that none should perish but that all should come to repentance. We feel the wrath of God against sin until we believe. The Holy Spirit convinces us of our sin before he comforts us when we obey the gospel.

You seem confused...We are all sinners and worthy of the penalty of law which is death, God had a plan of salvation for us knowing we were fallible and we would sin. The wages of sin is death but God did pay the penalty of death for those who accept the atonement. We who accept the atonement are no longer under the penalty of law but are by faith changed and are in agreement with God's righteousness and his law.

Apparently your not getting it first came sin then the atonement. Judgment day has not come yet. We now live under the grace provided by Jesus Christ. Perhaps you are not making your point very clear.
belief in Christ does not save you but accepting the atonement.
If a man does not accept the atonement he is judged according to his sin and all have sinned and the wages of sin is death. It is the reason God came in the form of man to overcome temptation as a man and remain righteous and pay the penalty of death for those who accept the atonement.

John.14

1. [6] Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but by me.

Ps.50

1. [6] The heavens declare his righteousness,
for God himself is judge! [Selah]

The passages are clear except that the first does not state specifically 'how' we come to the Father. Christians are bound by their knowledge and faith. Those who either preceded Christ or do not know Him will still be judged. Obviously they must still ..'come by' Christ. No reason for Him not to recommend someone who has lived a good life according to his beliefs.

Cheers :-)

God judged Satan when he fell from the heavens, when Satan tempted mankind, it was afterwards when the human race screwed up with the blaming game that God condemded humans to the lifetime of Sin.

Adam and Eve walked and talked with God like He was an ordinary person in their lives, read up about it if you don't understand.......anyways, when they sinned, they felt like they needed to hide themselves, meaning God's judgement, for you.

I guess if you are that confused about the scriptures and have to have "us" lowly and humble christians explain them to you, then ok......no problem, I will do it.....

If you feel the need to bash christians, do it with some sort of competence, because your question is not valid out of hatred........

sorry, read romans 3, especially verse 31, we still have to abide by the law, jesus said if you love me you will do my fathers commandments.

ROmans 3

29Is God the God of Jews only? Is he not the God of Gentiles too? Yes, of Gentiles too, 30since there is only one God, who will justify the circumcised by faith and the uncircumcised through that same faith. 31Do we, then, nullify the law by this faith? Not at all! Rather, we uphold the law.
