For the past several nights I have been having the same dream. I'm giving birth (I am 13 weeks pregnant), and I feel a sort of tearing feeling inside... they don't realize anything is wrong and I bleed to death internally. The one happy part of the dream is that the baby is born, strong and healthy.

I have no reason to be afraid of this pregnancy, I've given birth twice already with no real problems.

What could this mean?

no major decisions pending or anticipated. If something comes up it will be a suprise.

It just means you're concerned about the pregnancy, hon, whether you have reason to be or not. Nothing to worry about. Congratulations!

Actually, this is a very normal dream. Death and childbirth have very similar meanings, and I'm not at all suprised that you had a dream with involving both.

Childbirth is all about something beginning something new, physically, emotionally, spiritually. Death means change, or the end of something, but not to fear because endings always bring new beginnings. Death as a dream symbol rarely ever means literal death.

I think this dream has something to do with you adjusting to this big change in your life. You are ending one way of life and beginning another. Your life is changing and new life is beginning inside of you. The dream makes perfect sense, especially as you enter your second trimester. That alone is a big change.

The terror you describe is simply anxiety manifesting itself in your dream. Again, nothing to worry about, pregnant women always feel anxiety from time to time, if not all the time. Not to imply pregnant women are anxious, only that they are more aware of every action they take. You are decision making for two now.

To sum it up, your dream is all about your life changing, and a new life beginning. As you leave behind an old way of life, you focus on being sure you keep this new little life safe and healthy.

It means there's a hard choice coming up, and although it might rip you apart emotionally, things will turn out ok in the end. The bleeding to death signifies a final choice in a matter, that has the same effect as writing something off, and making a new start.

Are you contemplating moving to another area or a different job?

It could mean that your hormones are way out of whack. I would not read too much into your dream. The bleeding may represent something entirely different. Are you having mixed feeling about something or someone important to you?
The end result of your dream seems like it is the most significant part to me.....your baby is fine and you are happy about that.
SO whatever it is that is worrying you ......don't worry so much ....it seems like it will all turn out just fine.
I would mention this to your ob/gyn...there could be a clinical explanation to your dream, like your hormones.
Congratulations and the best of luck to you !!!

I'm no psychoanalyst, but based on your dream I would extrapolate that you definitely have the maternal instinct and care for your children so much that you are willing to die for them. Normal perhaps, but still a good thing!

The rest of it may boil down to some fear or anxiety the root of which might be a certain problem you're having in your life but no one is a better judge of that than you.

Usually, dreaming about death, especially one's death, means a new stage in your life is about to take place.

I wouldn't worry too much. Just enjoy your pregnancy and all the joys that come with it. By the way, congratulations and happy belated Mother's Day!

I think your mind is pre-occupied about giving birth, it maybe that you are afraid of giving birth, or you are wishing to give birth ,or your husband wants another child, and the like situations.
