Good Digital Camera with less megapixel?

Question

I want to buy Digital camera. I am looking for camera with good Optical zoom and best features.
I am satisfied with 5.1 MP and not looking for more than that, so can anyone suggest me good camera.

my kuh-gsn is correct. Don't get into the megapixel hype. Look at Website dpreview.com it shows reviews of different cameras and prices.
Particularly check out these cameras.
Canon PowerShot SD430, a sub compact-a bit pricey.
Canon PowerShot A540- 6 MP, 4X optical zoom, goes to 1/2000 of a second, has aperture priority, shutter priority and auto. About $180 to $200-

You are wise for sticking with around 5mp. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. More megapixels ONLY increase the detail in LARGER photographs, like 3200x1500 (which won't even fit on your average large computer screen), and is only good when you plan on printing photographs of 16"x20" or larger. More megapixels can also mean more noise in a photograph.

I would suggest the Canon Powershot SD430.

Fujifilm FinePix F31 fd has facial detection, the fuji f20 is great, Canon PowerShot A540 has been solid, Nikon L5, and for a super tele, the Canon S5 IS. I look to the features and solid performance before looking a mp, but I prefer the 5mp to 6mp range

Less megapixel won't given sharpest images for your photos,must buy more megapixel like 2 GB Campact Flash Memory card.

Just go for Canon PowerShot or above series, you will be statisfied with perfomance.
