A six foot five man needs to go to a bike store to get fit for a bike. Very tall and very short riders can have a hard time finding bikes that work for them due to both frame height and length (reach). I'd find a good shop and see what brands work for you.

large frame if intend to use on road
medium frame if intend to use off road
do not buy without trying (variance between brands is large)
enq about fitting service in the shop if you are keen, ie ride more than an hour, several times a week

while you're at your local bike shop checking out the bikes, go in and get fit properly.
