In Sura Al Mulk (Chapter 67) Ayaat # 5 it says

"And We have adorned the lowest heaven with lamps,
and we have made such (Lamps as) missiles to drive away Satans, ... "

So the stars were created by Allah as missiles to throw at the devils? In order to not let them eavesdrop on the heavenly council?

This does not sound very scientific. How can we believe indeed that Allah throws meteors, which are made up of carbon dioxide or iron-nickel, at non- material devils who steal a hearing at the heavenly council? And how do we explain the fact that many of earths meteors come in showers which consequently travel in parallel paths. Are we to thus understand that these parallel paths imply that the devils are all lined up in rows at the same moment? Any answer or views on this?

Your logic is broken. First we don't exactly know what Satans is made of and how they interact with material things, so we cannot really explain it. I will give you an analogy. Before electromagnetic waves (which cannot be seen or felt) were discovered people didn't know they existed and didn't know how materials interact with them. Now we know. For example If your microwave is not shielded with metal shield it would harm you when you turn it on and would microwave your brain to death if you are close enough. So here is something which was unseen and unknown in the past interacted with metal (a tangible material). Until we discover what satans are made of we will not be able to explain. Some things can harm you even without feeling pain like if you are exposed to X-rays or gamma radiation you for long time you would not feel a thing during the exposure but afterwards you may develop some cancers. If we don't see something, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

If you want to talk about the science and the quran, there are many scientific facts that were recently discovered and were mentioned in the quran (1400 years ago) for example, black holes, embryonic development, etc. Do some research and find the facts you might be surprised.

Qur'an would be a greatest joke on universal scale, had it not been so violent as well.
