The amount you have to eat (in calories) to maintain your weight depends on your gender, your height and weight, and how active you are. You need a minimal amount of energy to stay alive and keep all of your body's processes working. This is called Basal Energy Expenditure (BEE) and is estimated from your weight and height. The BEE is multiplied by an activity factor (usually 1.3-1.5) based on your level of physical activity or if you are healing from an injury.

no, it isnt. there are many more things you have to take in consideration (e.g. body fat percentage, muscle mass, hight etc)
