i just want to let you guys know that last time this was done, april 2006, gas prices dropped 30 cents a gallon. you like to think that oil companies are in control of you, not sure why, but we have more power than you know to bring down the prices. quit being so doubtful everyone. its just a small step in the right direction. it won't kill you to try it.

No i am not going to buy gas but i think its more symbolic than effective. If America really wants to hurt the oil industry, a 1 day nationwide protest is not going to do it. And our government seems content to do nothing about it. If the US really wants to stick it to the oil industry, alternative fuel is the best way, terrorism money stops, and the Middle East turns into a sandbox. What else will they export?

I do not need gas!
I filled up Thursday!
But Today is my anniversary!
And i am thankful for my job!!

And it doesn't matter to me
I'm not about making people loose money
I am about making people work and get off their butts and earn a living..

So i guess if i needed gas today i would buy it!!
just because you all aren't making the money and the profit is no reason to take it away from someone Else!

This is what you Libs get when you go raising minimum wage and electing your democratic congress!!

I feel no pity for you

I will still buy it and drive when gas is $10 a gallon!

get a job and you can afford gas!!

I am happy to hear that welfare isn't giving people enough of my money to buy gas!

Be jealous of the rich all you want!!
you can be rich too if you tried!

1 day is laughable to the oil industry!!
you would have to not buy it for at least a week to get them to even stop laughing at you!

and even you libs aren't going to do something like that
you need transportation to the welfare office so you can buy your beer and weed!!

have you ever wondered if the person or persons starting these stupid "don't buy gas on a certain day" protests aren't really people fromt the gas and oil companies??

They might be thinking that a whole lot of people are gonna stop and say ..* Hey! that is a payday and most folks can't go without buying gas on such a day since they usually fill up then and their cars are basically out of gas on that day*

> so the ones who question it are going to figure the person(s) asking them not to buy gas are off their rockers and buy gas anyhow.

I think not buying gas for one measly little day hurts the companies one iota.
The gas gets bought on the next day anyhow so what do they care? aren't out the money so it means sweet tweet to them.

(and what a hokey lil saying that is.. "pass the gas" .. sounds really mature *not* )

Would you sheep stop promoting this idea. Get real. The big oil companies would not even know. The fact is that the local stations have the gas in the ground. If you do not buy it tomorrow, they will be bored, but eventually you will buy the gas, so who really cares.

Your buying habits are irrelevant unless you change your driving habits. If you use X gallons of gas in a week, who cares which day you buy it!

GET A CLUE!

I always fill up on the weekends anyway, so no. But if I had to buy gas, I would not.

Personally, I think we should make the protest a regular thing. Like not buy gas on Tuesdays, until it makes a difference. One protest may not work but eventually they may have to listen.

the only thank you to effectively do this (and that i doubt this might artwork), is to not USE gas on that day. in case you utilize gas, yet wait til day after today to replenish, you're nevertheless paying for the gas. the only thank you to not purchase gas is to not use it. not that i think of that should artwork. Oh, and playstation , your math is incorrect. not each American on the information superhighway has a vehicle, not to point out a license, and not to point out being sufficiently previous to force. I hate hippies.

Right. And buy gas on the 16th instead? What difference will it make? You are eventually going to buy the gas, and so am I. If they lose a billion tomorrow, they will make a billion extra the following day. No difference.

I will buy gas if I need it. These types of protests are a waste of time.

No, I bought it today. I did forget about that. I seriously don't think anybody will notice but I'll be looking for the outcome on the news.
