Absolutely right. And christians will bring out metaphorical sense of all those verses just to hide that lie further and they've done since centuries.

If you don't believe in God or Christ then that's fine. Personally, I don't believe that Jesus was a habitual liar. Goodness only knows the things that I've prayed for that I didn't get and knew I wouldn't get.
For example--to not get caught when I was 'bad' as a teenager, to get an A on my report card when I knew I didn't hand in my work, and basically to get out of the things that were my own fault.
I read those versus specifically. Like you said, as a Christian, I won't take every verse in the Bible literally because I know there is a deeper meaning. Especially after reading it in full.
Just so you know it also states in the Bible [I don't know the verse but I know it's there] that Jesus preached using a lot of metaphors and parables so you must remember that whilst reading the New Testament. The only people who truly understood what Jesus was saying were His disciples.

Let me put it this way: Why should you expect the God of the Bible to answer the prayers of people who pray to some other god? Who pray in a wrong manner? What regularly disobey the true God? Who ask for the wrong things? The answer is simple—you should not! You accuse Jesus Christ of being a habitual liar only because you do not understand the Truth in the Word of God. God has not called you to understand. Unless you have been chosen by God to be part of His Family in doing His work (preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world) here on earth as a true and faithful servant, your eyes will always be veiled to the truth. You still live under the deception of Satan who has deceived the whole world. God does answer the prayers of His true saints that are asked within His will for them. Prayers that are not selfish, but are in the true Spirit of God. Just like any Father on earth, the Father in heaven takes care of His own to those that have yielded their will for His and their life for His.

I believe our society today "abuses" prayer. Now days prayer is practically used as a counseling session! It is used to unload our stress and in a sense beg God to help us out of our material world problems. But Biblicaly, that is not what prayer's original purpose was. Prayer was a way to confess to God that you are a sinner, a way to praise God, a way to ask for God's guidance and to shed light on truth, and to ask for wisdom and courage. Thats not all, but you get the gist of it. Not all prayer is granted, because people pray for things that have nothing to do with spiritual gain. Jesus was not referring to asking for material things or whatever it may be! If you look at the context of your verses that you pointed out, you will see that Jesus is referring to prayer as a means of developing a closer understanding with God. So Jesus was not lying, and if you look at the whole context, and not just the particular verses, you will see. You cant take one phrase out of thousands, and generalize your whole argument on it.

A man came face to face with God one day. God told him to ask, and it shall be given.
Not wanting to miss the opportunity this presented, he proceeded to ask God, "Lord God, is it true that 10 billion years is but a second to you?"
"Yes, that is true," replied God.
"Then my Lord God," continued the man, "Is it true that 10 billion dollars is but a penny to you."
"Yes, that is true," replied God.
Thinking that he now understood God well, the man then said, "Lord God, then all I ask of you is a penny."
"Just a second," replied God.
The cleverness you think you have is but foolishness to God. You need not justify your refusal to follow Jesus' teaching. The arrogance comes through clearly, for all your posturing.
Christians are exhorted to show humility and gentleness. I am not certain as to why you so vehemently struggle to make people stray from their faith and devotion to God.
There are only three things Christians need to follow:
Love God wth all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
Love your neighbor as yourself.
Love one another as Jesus loves us.
1st Corinthians, chapter 13 gives a very good explanation of Christian love.
God bless you my friend. May your life be richly blessed.

This does not prove that Jesus was a liar. This proves that god does not exist, plain and simple.
According various Christian dogmatic beliefs what is said on earth is true in heaven and yet their very holy bible violates this concept.
There are other instances as well. Eternal life, for example. When first asked by students of Jewish law Jesus responded that only those who follow the laws (10 Commandments) and loved a stranger as their own neighbor could become one of his disciples and only his disciples would be granted eternal life. This referred to the 10 commandments.
Later, when asked by another group Jesus reponds that only those who hate their parents, their neighbors, even themselves could come unto Jesus to be a disciple. But wait a second. First he says that you have to love every one, even strangers, then he says you must hate everyone, even themselves.
Fact is that if you actually read the bible you will come across hundreds of contradictions.
Religion is a farce, forced upon those with weak wills in order to secure power for the few.

He does not grant "request" to the "unfaithful" if that is where you get the "liar" from. To his faithful, the Lord in heaven GRANTS their needs, but he/she who DOUBTS shall receive absolutely NOTHING. The "power" of prayer relies on what is in the heart of the person who ASKS and if it is in vain, what do you "expect?" God is going to fulfill vain desires? The father in heaven FULFILLS his word to those who know his name and "powerless" prayers HAPPEN because many do not make the EFFORTS to know who he is. First of all, the name of "God" in heaven is written in every English bible THOUGH few know what that is and he is not the Jewish god. Jesus said his father was "Amen" a "God" 3500 years already in existance amongst mankind by the time he came on earth. The word is not a doorstop at the end of every prayer most ignor, that NAME is the one of God in heaven and even in the Latin Vulgate, Jerome "verifies" this by writing the manuscripts as originally WRITTEN by the apostles. Where it says, Verily verily I say to you, in english ANYWHERE in the bible, ORIGINAL words WERE "Amen dico" or AMEN SAYS. Why would Jesus say "Amen says, ask and it shall be given you," if he did not mean it? ASK in his NAME and find out whether Jesus was a liar OR those who deceptively TOOK OUT the name of God in english bibles ARE the "liars."

Actually, No! If you read the prayer that Jesus gave to us to reach God, it clearly states in there "Thy will be done". Yes, we can go to God with anything. We take Him our praises, our sins, our troubles, our needs, all of it, and lay it at His feet. He then answers our prayers as He feels is appropriate, His will. Jesus even called to Him in Luke 22:42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done."
Think for a moment as a parent.... Your child comes to you and asks for a bag of candy for his snack. He NEEDS it, according to his little pleading voice. PLEASE!!!!! He continues, and begs for it. Would you give it to him?? Probably not... yes, he wants it, but he doesn't need it. You know that it's not good for him, but he's only 3, he doesn't understand that. So, he huffs off angry and screams and yells, but you know that you did right.
So, as our Heavenly Father, God is acting as a parent should. He gives us the things we need, sometimes gives us the things we want, and sometimes, He just answers us in a way we weren't expecting at all!!

So what precisely is the question? Ask and you shall acquire--notably obtrusive to a believer. happens each and every of the time. Knock (at His door, which means pray) and the door would be opened--He shows you a fashion - believe it! in case you have faith and don't doubt, you are able to forged a mountain into the sea--properly, we are doubters, are not we? yet we additionally use a minimum quantity of our concepts means. it is there someplace. We purely have not found out to get right of entry to it yet! So, if we don't doubt, in Him or in ourselves, we in all danger ought to truly pass a mountain purely questioning approximately it.

What would be the justification of anyone taking singular verses out of the total context within which they were originally written in regard to the Bible, a conversation, a book, a quote, or within any other situation?
Then, to further take singular verses out of their original context and to stack them up as evidence of anything
at all?
Additionally, Jesus spoke figuratively, which is denoted
in the NT in John 16:25 and 29
KJV
"These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father."
"His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. "
