Glad to hear that they finally got it!

We have so many obstacles with being recognized as a legitimate religion, and the majority of people in this country are seemingly oblivious to the problem!

As a wiccan and a former member of the U.S. military all I can say is it is about time! I just hope the silly debate doesn't need to be fought by the loved ones of other fallen service people who have a different religious path. Freedom of religion should allow for the fallen sons and daughters to proudly show their diversity.

We have a constitutional freedom of religion. Wicca and Paganism have been a politically accepted religion since the 70's. It's only moral and right for us to have our symbol on our graves.

About time.

If the Military is (quite rightly) prepared to recruit non-Xians it ought to be prepared to respect the traditions of those faiths. One's Religion is as important to an individual as things like one's Rank.

Wonder when the Australian Military will follow suit.

Good. It's about time. They can't just push one religion on everyone like it's the only thing out there. I am glad they are finally respecting the wishes of those whose opinion actually matters in situations like this!

I think religious freedom is a good thing. I am glad our government is respecting it and I really wish more of our citizens would. So long as someones religion doesn't involve harming others then their own beliefs should be respected.

I think it is about time peoples religions are supposed to be their own business. Not the business of a bunch of politicians acting illegaly to interfere with the laws against religious discrimination.

I can't believe it was ever something to be questioned, at all! These people died fighting for this country and what it stands for, which includes freedom of religion, and yet this basic right was kept from them. I guess they could give their lives for their country, but they weren't good enough to be taken care of by it. It just boggles my mind.

I'm all for it... If Christians can have the cross (and there are a few different Christian crosses to choose from) and there are a few others, why not the pentacle?

I think it is great. Its about time the US government recognized that religious belief is not confined to the 3 major religions.
