I assume that you are under 18 since you are running in PE. I think there are two sources that could help you, one is weight watchers because they have a great program that's easy to do and takes into account your age and the fact that you require different nutrition than an adult who is no longer developing. My other suggestion would be to consult your pediatrician for suggestions on a dietary program. I also think you should discuss it with your parents. They would be the ones who can help you get the money that you would need for either of my two earlier suggestions. Good luck and don't be discouraged -losing weight takes lots of effort, ignore all those negative comments of others because you are trying to be active and this will also help you with being fit. In general for adults if you lose over two pounds a week then you are losing too quickly which is usually muscle not fat. But losing at the slow and safe rate of one or two pounds a week usually helps you to keep it off, not the crash diets that have a great loss and then you find all those pounds plus more later. I wish you all the best. Congratulations for taking the first step to lose weight and that is to make up your mind to do something about it.

Weight control is a personal and often difficult issue and there is NO safe way to lose weight. Simply to lose weight you need to expend more calories than you take in. A modification of life style is the best way to do this on a permanent basis, i.e. eat healthier foods and regular exercise. Also if you want to get better times, then do the run regularly and time your self, after the first run try to better the time by 5 seconds on the next run by going a bit harder, and slowly increasing the tempo of each subsequent run till you are reaching your target time.
Do not binge eat and then void what you have eaten or starve yourself, these will only lead to eating disorders or often more weight gain.

first of all, get rid of the notion that you have to do it fast. that will just screw with your head. if you are135lbs it takes apx. 1350 calories per day to maintain that if you are sleeping for the rest of the day. if you have a very sedintary life stile add 20% to that. a llb of fat is 3500 calories,, if you figure out your normal eating,, and take of like 500 cal. per day, and do nothing else,, you will lose a llb every 6 days. if you work out, you could lose more. you should probably start by working out 2days a week and gradulally build up. maybe start with walking briskly the distance required for your p.e class. then graduate to a walk run. check out learn to run programs by The Running Room in vancouver,,, you will find them on the net. good luck, and be careful. loosing weight shoudl be a lifestyle not a DIET>

To lose weight successfully, you should know the food that you eat can either make you THIN or FAT!!!
Yes,it is really important. You should know the truth:
1.Low Fat Foods DON'T WORK...
2.Low Calorie Diets DON'T WORK...
3.Low Carb Plans DON'T WORK...
I followed the guide above and I lost 10 lbs in 7 days and then 30 lbs in less than a month.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
