if you are planning on keeping the house and you like the pergo then that wood be a good choice it look beautiful but is harder and more expensive to refinish if you are planning on selling the house down the road then i would go with real hard wood floors

Real hardwood for resale value. Pergo does look nice but it can't be refinished to suit someone elses taste like genuine hardwood can be.

Real hardwood!!! It can be refinished numerous times before it needs replacing.
