i don't believe it...but
is a great scapegoat to take the blame or the acts of terrorism, carried out by people also with no faith in Islam but using it to appear to have a religious cause

I think a minority are trying to redefine it into an extremely violent religion of absolute hate that makes the worship of Kali, goddess of murder, look like a peace movement. The Majority cannot find a way to stop them within their faith or are not sure if they are wrong. I think it could be what many claim, a religion of peace and knowledge, if they stomped on the little groups making them look like monsters. Until they do the religion is in question.
I do not think the world owes Islam an ounce of understanding until Islam speaks with a united voice in condemnation of terrorism and acts with a united purpose to exterminate them from the face of creation.
Just my opinion though.

Islam is a religion. It has just as much right as Christianity to function. I think Islam is simply blown out of perspective by the American media because a few radicals decided to blow something up. You cannot judge a religion as a whole on the actions of one person. If other people did that when the Pope insulted Muslims, think about how the world would see you. That's right. Don't be stupid like the radicals of Islam. Be inteligent, human, and understanding, like the rest of that religion.

I think that their writings speak for themselves. We all know the Quran, but let us look at the Hadiths.
"There are Hadiths (Islamic traditions attributed to Mohammed) regarding our struggle against the Jews. And it is given: 'The day of resurrection will not arrive until the Muslims make war against the Jews and kill them, and until a Jew hiding behind a rock and tree, and the rock and tree will say: 'Oh Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him!' This Hadith clarifies to us the characteristics of the campaign between us and the Jews. The tree and the rock do not say 'Oh, Palestinian,' 'Oh Arab,' or 'Oh resident of the Middle East.' Rather they say: 'Oh, Muslim, Servant of Allah.'" (Palestinian TV, March 30, 2001)
And so, those radicals must be stopped at all costs. They wish to Islamize the western world and will stop at nothing, including murder of innocent men, women and children.

Alhum do lillah, thank Allah, I am a Muslim.
I love Islam. For others who don't know Islam and begin stereotyping, it would be recommended that first learn something about it. Not from the media, not from other people, but by yourself; go to the library and read about Islam written by Muslims, visit pro-Islam website, etc.
It is the religion that teaches one to control oneself, respect elders, helping others etc.

Uncertainty. The information i receive is seen through western eyes and sold to me in newspapers and tv, so don't know how much i should believe. I also think the US govts intentions are sinister. Remember, Hitler lulled Germany into a deep sleep while he committed mass genocide.. could a form of that happen to us?

The same as I think about all religions. There are good people and there are bad. I refuse to judge an entire segment of the population on the actions of a few. Get over it people not all Muslims are terrorist just like all Christians are not members of the KKK!

Gal 4:22 For it is written, that Abraham had two sons, the one by a bondmaid, the other by a freewoman.
Gal 4:23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.
Gal 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.
Gal 4:31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman, but of the free.
