im trying for different themes on different parts of my body...on my back i have the faces of the seven deadly sins, side by side, going across my upper back from shoulder to shoulder, i will soon be putting a tattoo of the 4 horseman of the apocalypse on my lower back, taking up about a third of my back, but after that i will have this space between my tattoos....any recommendations of what else will go with this theme in this space?...doesnt have to be just one big tattoo, maybe several smaller ones
and on a side note, my tattoo artist, who has done all of my tattoos, has moved away, across country, am i the only one who hates having to find a new tattoo artist? venting here

i like the idea of having one large cohesive tattoo rather than separated ones in a large space, which is why i decided to make a full back piece rather than two separate tattoos on my back.
my artist moved away in december, not across country but 8 hours away so it is still a pain. once i am finished with the tattoo that i am getting done i will be going to a different artist, he is three hours away but it's better than 8 and there really are no great artists around this area anyway so... you gotta do what you gotta do.
do you have pictures of your tattoos posted anywhere? it'd be easier to say what would go with the piece if we could see what is going on in the first place. also if you need help finding another artist i'd be happy to help in the search.

I don't know what to put, you obviouslly don't just want smoke or anything done as a filler so I can't help ya. Maybe post a pic and that would help.
But yes I HATE trying to find a new artist, mine messed my first tattoo up a little and I'm still going back because he
has an amazing portfolio and I hate looking for a new tattoo artist : )

Stay away from getting any tatoos on your forearms, hands, etc. that show all the time. Some employers, during interviews for jobs, will reject your employment because they don't want the public to see the employees tattoos. They perceive this as gang-type related, so get your tattoos on places of the body that don't show unless you are naked.
My tattoo from the Navy is on my upper shoulder where it won't show with a short sleeve shirt.
Please take this advice. You may not be getting a great job opportunity due to tattoos that show.

screw that. make an appointment with him and fly over there. keep the cohesion!!!
or maybe you can pay him to design some stuff then just have the new artist tattoo it?
anyway ummm, as for the space you can do angels and demons. one side can be angels one side demons. both can look real tough, but still be the opposing sides and all.

I like the idea of a ruined city, tumbled-down buildings with vines growing over them.... sort of a "fall of man, rise of nature" theme. It would allow for a lot of flexibility for cohesive-looking infill between the two larger tattoos.

My suggestion...don't let it become too overwhelming. How about a bit of background...smoke...souls...clouds....fire..
Make it flow together. Don't just get a million little pieces...or you might be wondering why it just doesnt look right when you are finished.
Find a new artist. Look at plenty of portfolios. Be picky.

I have the seven deadly sins, in kanji characters swirling around my right leg. I have the seven heavenly virtues the same way around my left leg. They start at the inside of my ankle and swirl to the outside of my knee. Very cool idea. ;)

A graveyard would be good, not in color though, just gray work. You could do alot with that! And losing your tattoo artist is like losing a good roommate!

Leviticus 19:28 (Amplified) which says, "Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print or tattoo any marks upon you: I am the Lord."

i love tats, it took me a few tats but i found the perfect guy, i like the seven sins idea sounds awesome and 7 is my favorite movie, im a big fan of koi fish i like what the stand for , so i would think an under water theme might be kinda pimp.
