At the core of all animals is the need to create. Man is at the top of the evolutionary ladder, and it is through man that all the greatest creations have come. Regardless of your position on creationism or evolution, man is always at the center of creation.

In one sense yes according to Christianity, Judaism, and Islam since these religions hold that man is created in the image of God. Other religions may hold that man is the highest created being or the center of creation and others don't.

Biblically, they or we apparently are, at least, central to God since he seemed to exhibit no interest in beings beyond those who populate the Bible, and, having (allegedly) created the Cosmos, he appeared to have been unconcerned with any other hominids whom he might have produced elsewhere in the Universe. From a nontheistic point of view, we have no clue as to whether or not we Earthlings are the be-all of cosmic evolution as there might well exist in the vastness of space other entities who may similarly regard themselves as integral to the purpose of some deity's creativity or who may be so utterly superior intellectually and/or physically to us that we would be in total awe of them, even perhaps worshiping them as god-like. Egotistically, we are individually each the center of the world so far as we are concerned personally because, apart from our own conscious observation and participation via our lives, the Universe very well does not exist!

no, and who ever tells you that we are is completely blind to the fact that everything on this earth is a living creation, with just as much right as human beings. we think of animals and plants as beings without reason, and that humans are the soul domination of our planet. not realizing that just because we don't communicate with other beings, it doesn't mean they're not there. being that we are so focused on human life that we don't understand that other living things are just as much a part of this world as we.

I think humans are just as equal as dogs, trees and sea monkeys. Just because we're smarter doesn't mean we're the center of creation.

For now, I suppose so. However, I imagine most creatures believe they themselves are or were the the center and conclusion of creation or whatever. - smiles -
