what's a killer idea for a 'sorry i forgot' gift

Go over there NOW or call NOW and let your Mom know you got the day mixed up. Tell her you have something wonderful planned for next Sunday and then plan something wonderful!
Think this way: There are some daughters who don't ever bother with their Moms - mine are like that. I would feel blessed if my daughters just picked up the phone and called me!

Go see your mother, give her a hug, and tell her you forgot. She should forgive you. After that spend the day with her, take her out to lunch, or go buy her something. She'll be happy you at least did something with her even though you forgot. you could get her a card and some jewelry.

Just be honest and tell your mom how sorry you felt. Get her a nice boquet of flowers and a really sweet card (it doesn't have to be a "belated" one) and say that you really just lost track of the date and were one week behind.
Don't try to cover it up by playing dumb or making up excuses. Just be honest and let her know how much she means to you and how much you care for her.

Call immediately and apologize. Invite her out for dinner some night this week if possible. You can go shopping and find something nice that you can take to the dinner.
It will be OK. Mom's are very forgiving.

Call your Mom right now. Tell her the truth, I am sure she'll understand. Then take her out and get her what she likes. Better still spend time with her doing what she likes doing best - Baking, Gardening, anything....

buy her the gift that she wanted then if she likes jewelry then buy her something she doesn't have.
I get that sometimes u just so busy u forget such "commercial" days.
If i forgot my moms birthday she would remember that until she passed away!! &remind me each time about that, lucky I'm still on my toes with that -lol
