Why are so many people so against it? I know there are criminals who try to use it as an excuse and i think shows like SVU portray the entire lifestyle as being bad.

Being submissive i cant stand when people stare in public at my Dom and i. I know people think it make women not have rights, but what about male submissives?

As a female submissive i cant imagine a life with out my Dom. I dont understand why people are so against it. I think its because people are afriad of what they dont know.

What do you think?

It's different and some people can't understand that.

Some people can't understand that couples might like to dress up and play act to have fun.

Some people can't understand that other people are attracted to well ... whatever, really! Members of the same sex, members of the opposite sex, both, shoes ...

*shrugs*

I'm inclined to agree with you that people are afraid of what they don't know and that they do not readily recognize what might be really dangerous. Some people will conclude that anything that they don't understand is dangerous.

(and some of it is ... but not all of it)

When you behave or dress in public in ways that are unusual, people are going to look at you. It's not a matter of them being "against" you. It's a matter of them being curious at seeing something they don't see very often. If you don't want them to stare, you should confine your activities to your own home. Unfortunately, being looked at is the price you pay for a public lifestyle that is outside the norm. The same thing would happen to you if you were very tall or wore very unusual clothing or had a really interesting looking pet that you walked around with. People are curious, and they're going to look at things they're curious about. They're not always trying to be mean, and I think you'll be a lot less unhappy if you don't always assume that everyone is thinking badly of you when they may just be curious.
