How do I deal with it? Especially if he is the assistant pastor at my church. He keeps making comments to me that try to crush my faith and really hurt me.

I am believing for a miracle. The whole church supports me but him. He prays one thing for me but then tells me privately that I am going to die if I don't do it the way he sees it should be done.

He gets uncomfortable when I tell of answered prayers and butts in when I am sharing my testimony with others in the church. I love my church but I don't want to see him and I don't want to cause trouble in the church

Yes, satan can come at you in any form, even threw a loved one. If the assist. pastor is trying to crush your faith, this person is not of God. He is surpose to encourage you and help hold you up in prayer. There is a saying '' everything that glitters is not gold ''. pray for him, and if he continues this go to the pastor of your church and to the elders of the church. If he continues, say i rebuke you satan in the name of Jesus christ, satan will have to flee. this is not flesh against flesh it is spiritual warfare going on. Satan is coming at you through this man.

I don't think the devil needs to encourage this knuklehead assistant pastor. He is probably doing just fine as a jerk all on his on. Focus on faith in God and ignore this guy. Find a better church or even don't go for a while. Pray pray pray and ignore all "stuff" that goes with church politics.

Some people are like that, but just remember they aren't true christians. The assistant pastor should be supportive and attempt to guide you, not hurt and confuse you. I know it is hard to deal with, but maybe others feel the same as you? You may want to talk to your own pastor about it... especially if there are others who feel the same way. He should learn what it means to have such a position in the church.

Too right he can. But can you be sure? Here is a two edge sword: if he is right in what he says, psa55:12-14 descrbes your dilema, one way out is to repent and fix your life. The other edge to the sword is that if he is wrong, then he will have to deal with this scripture for himself...
Psa 55:12 For it is not an enemy who reproaches me;
Then I could bear it. Nor is it one who hates me who has exalted himself against me; Then I could hide from him.
Psa 55:13 But it was you, a man my equal, My companion and my acquaintance.
Psa 55:14 We took sweet counsel together,
And walked to the house of God in the throng.
Perhaps it is just good advice he is trying to give you. If not, then speak to him about it privately. If He does not take heed, then go to him again with one or two fellow believers, to act as wittnesses. If he persists, go to the church board, paster and elders deacons etc. Blow the lid and make it known.
The truth is that a tree is known by its fruit, and if this man is evil towards you, he will be doing the church no good at all. The axe must be taken to the root. You mission is to expose that fruit for what he is.
And he needs to see it for himself and repent. If you do not address the matter, Yahuwah (God) will hold you to account for his blood. But if you do the right thing and he ignores you, his blood will be on his own hands.
May Yahuwah bless you and cause his face to shine upon you. May the peace of His son Yahushua be upon you always.

No, the devil is a method of scaring you into believing certain things, and to follow a way of life, fear is the worst way to control the masses, reason is much better, if you can explain something to a person that makes sense to them, they will voluntarily follow certain beliefs, it is not good to force someone into a belief system because they fear the reprocussions of not believing.

Certainly, using other Christians would be a strong and sly tactic. Sounds like you need to consider another church.

There is no such thing as the devil. Either talk to the assistant pastor or find another church.

Is your health suffering?
Are you having sleepless nights?
Then get out.....before it gets worse.
Revelation 18:4.......And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
Revelation 18:5...........For her sins have reached heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.

Yes.
It is a devil at work.
Tell him to get away and never be around this assistant alone so you have witness.
