Every guy I see with a girl, I can teel by the way they look and the way they talk that they are either a thug type or some kind of drunk partier. I think girls can tell what kind of person you are instantly and if you are shy, smart, reserved, not into drinking or don't have a attitude, they will just reject you! So what chance does a guy like me, who is kind of quiet and does not drink alcohol even have?

I am girl and I like the shy quiet types. They are more intellectual and the conversations have substance and depth, and I don't drink either. If all the girls in your area are the party type, they don't deserve to be with you. Just wait (yes, those two words that you must be tired of hearing) and eventually the right girl will come along. Ask yourself, why would a want to be with a party girl when that's not my personality at all? Try joining different clubs/organizations and branch out to meet new people. Perhaps a youth group, or even an art class to express yourself. There are so many ways to meet good new people, you just need to find the right thing for you.

A guy like you is in high demand, you just have to get yourself into the right crowd. Find the right kind of girl for you ~ if she is into this kind of guy ~ she is not really for you is she?
Also you are prejudging yourself. Stop it! And you are presupposing that girls know what kind of person you are. They really don't. If all they are interested in is your outward appearance, then first glance is all you get, but why would you want someone like that?
As for being shy ~ well there are so many fun ways of asking a girl out that can be done by a shy guy such as yourself. Be creative. Send her a single stem rose with a card that ask her to meet you in a public place in the day time - safe for her and you. Invite her to a place that you go anyway. Say you will be there, and ask her if is going to be there also. This is a good way to put out a feeler to see if she both likes the place, and if she has a positive reaction to seeing you there.

You may have a better chance than you think. Not all girls want the thug, partier type. Maybe they just never found any other type? I know lots of women who would love a guy like you. I think shyness in a guy is sweet. It is so much better than a smug arrogant one. Not everyone has to drink to have a good time either. I don't drink and see no use for it, it's a waste of money and you feel like crap the next day. Be yourself, be honest, and sincere. No girl should reject a man cause he is shy. Think of the fun she could have bringing you out of your shell...............

I can tell right off that your problem isn't shyness, it's your attitude toward women. Seems like you don't think very highly of them, if you assume they all go for thug drunk party guys.
Plenty of girls avoid those types of guys, and would love to be asked out by a shy, smart, non-drinking, non-threatening man. You just have to ask the right kind of girl. Seems like you're both attracted and repelled by the type that goes for the bad boys. Try focusing on the other girls for a change.

Shyness itself probably isn't a turnoff, but if you are shy, usually you can't ask a girl out in the first place.
A "drunk-partier" probably gets a drunk-partier girl, and is that what you are looking for? Maybe.
As well, even though you don't drink, you could always take it up.
I'm like you, extremely shy and I hate alcohol, but it makes me loose and so I drink it sometimes.
I'm probably more reserved than you, because I'm 25 and have never even been on one date.

The problem might be you, actually. If the girls you are interested seem to be attracted to the "thug" type...maybe you need to be looking at girls you normally wouldn't take a second look at...

You want to know what kind of chance you have? You have a chance of finding a decent girl. If you just keep being yourself, I think you will be just fine. Not all girls want rough idiots, some of us like shy guys. Hehe, I do...... shy, and nerdy, because I like a man that thinks with his brain. Just hold on, you will find someone.

none if you keep putting yourself down. theres attractive girls in all walks of life..... being social will help alot w/ attracting girls cuz girls want the guy to show some confidence by approaching her. dont try to pick the perfect thing to talk about, women love to talk about everything.....but you must do this in a calm and confident way. the more relaxed you are the easier it will be to talk to her. never approached a girl? you better start now, watching everyone else do it will not help!

Your chances are greater then you believe. I to don't drink, yet girls don't mind it at all. Infact some enjoy having a guy who doesn't drink. Some girls think they can tell what kinda guy they are lookin at, but the thing that gets them hot is confidence. Believe in yourself, talk to girls as you would a friend.
