No, I have not met a "bad" Mormon. Nor have I ever read nasty postings on here by Mormons. I do not understand the prejuidice against such a family centered, values centered, community and Bible centered religion. I have always been treated with the utmost respect by Mormons.
My sister had a restaurant in Salt Lake City for about 10 years, and she felt the majority of the people were very nice, good people to know and work with. She did say there was some odd old trailer communities where they still practiced polygamy, and that is why the bad reputation came from. But who among us, of any race, religion, political party, or other social group doesn't have a few bad apples? Do not become discouraged from your beliefs because of some of the rude people on this site. You are doing good work, and your lifestyle is to be commended.

Mormon's are just like everyone else. There is no difference. There are good and bad ones (and, yes I have met both).
I'm not sure actually why people would think that Mormon's are such terrible people. I certainly don't feel that way.. and I've been in close contact with a number of them. They're simply human like the rest of us.
I'm wondering if you're referring to how some people consider Mormon's to be part of a cult.. Well, I don't agree with that. I believe that Mormon's are Christians, and just like other Christian denominations, have certain beliefs that not all people hold, same as other Christians have certain beliefs that Mormon's don't have, etc..
You're good people :)

I've met bad mormons. I've met bad people of all religions. But the people aren't what matters. Everyone has the free will to make bad choices no matter what religious background. It's about the gospel of Jesus Christ that matters. If people took the time to actually look into the gospel principles the LDS faith is based upon, instead of listening to hateful and spiteful lies, they would see that a lot makes perfect sense. Also they would see why the LDS faith makes such a huge impact on people for the better. Unfortuantley though we live in a world that is blinded by hatred and bigitry and we are not the only ones that are affected by this. But just keep on trucking LDS people, because we know what is true in our hearts and we know the diffrence the gospel makes in our lives. It doesn't matter if other people can't see that. They are the ones that are diluting their souls with hatred. We don't need to let the poison seep into our hearts. Just continure loving everyone and setting a good example of Christlike love. :)

Yes actually I have met a bad morman. Actually a few. Two of my very best friends in school (these two friends were not related in any way) had mormon parents that beat them, one of them molested his own daughter. The other family was so verbally abusive, they didn't even hide it when I would come over. I also had another friend that was mormon, I never became great friends with her, but her family was so abnormally strict (she could never go to anyone's house or even join clubs that would require her to stay after school). Those are the only morman families that I know (or that I am aware I know). I don't think that all mormons are bad, there are good in every group, but for me, this is why I have a bit of a negative feeling about mormons.

I have met as many bad mormons as I have met bas of any other group... most I know are basicaly good people being decieved by a cult teaching that is keeping them from knowing The Truth of The Salvation Message.... in my experiece most do not atualy believe what is taught...they are just in the cult for the worldly benifits they can get from it...at the forfit of their immortal souls.... and in my personal experience of living most of my life surrounded by mormons... that being kind to everyone is about as believable as what the muslims say... the hard core mormon is only interested in a non-mormon for what they can get out of them... if they see no hope of "converting" some one then that person is an enemy... to be used..... and to make it worse...now they even claim to be Christians.... when for generations they taught that Christians were the enemy and the Christian Bible was a lie... now they even claim to follow the Christian Bible... what ever happened to The mormon Bible that the mormon god gave directly to J Smith... why not use The True Bible that ALL of the mormon leaders loudly proclaimed to be DIRECTLY from their god... why now claim to be
Christian when J Smith and ALL the founding leaders said Christians were the ememy... I knew the truth of the mormon deception long before I came to know The Truth of God... Thank God I did not fall for all the heavy recruting that they threw at me over the years....

Yes I have!
Please remember that people are people and act the way they choose to act and that Religion, Faith, and Belief in something does not change the fact that they are a person first!
I do not harbor any ill will to members of "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" (aka Mormons) for the actions of this one individual I have/had the misfortune of knowing.
Peace & Love,
Sam
PS - I could take my experience with this person as a learning one and to not follow the example that was set before me.

Yes, I have, my parents, the community I use to live in, in SLC, UT, they thought they were already God's and Goddesses, they were so full of pride and so stuck-up. I was taught that all people who were not Mormons were controled by satan basically and the mormon s need to stay away from them. I grew up in the 70's, 15 minutes away from the prophet, so I am sorry if this offends, but this was my life. We would love our neighbor's if they converted.

I have experienced bad Mormons. When I was pregnant at 17 the Mormons in my ward started rumors saying I didn't know who the father was and a bunch of crap like that. There was another girl in my ward who was gang raped and got pregnant. Everybody treated her like she was dirt and deserved what happened to her. Then there was a boy with a learning disability who everybody in the ward was cruel to. Then there was the Bishop who threatened my dad when my dad tried to talk to him about his sons (the bishops sons) drug abuse. There was also a woman with a speech impediment who was treated like she was a leper or something. The only people who were treated nice were rich, bread baking, dressed to perfection, relief society president types.
But, you can't really expect people who are not saved and thus without the Holy Spirit to behave better as they have no guide. It is only through a genuine relationship with Christ that people can truly learn to love.

Actually, all I hear is "Oh, Mormons are such great people, they're just deceived and following Satan" and all that.
How can we be such great people if our religion is false?
And, yes, I've known a few bad Mormons in my day.
