He is getting IV fluids with electrolytes, but we know he doesn't want a feeding tube. He is in his 70's and has a myriad of cancers (lung cancer included) due to radiation treatment he received several years ago. He had a pretty massive stroke a few days ago and also has a staph infection (MRSA) He isn't in pain (he has limited communication). Does anybody know what we can expect in the near future as he nears death?

my mother passed away 10 months ago from cancer....she was 71...she went 8 days without the feeding tube...she too had a stroke a few weeks before she passed. The links below are very good. As death nears they urinate much less...to eventually nothing at all...legs may become extremely swollen...they sleep a whole lot or in my moms case she went into a coma about 3 days before she died.. the feet and hands become very cold..i could go on and on...please feel free to contact me in the coming days. I volunteered with hospice for a while and may be able to help. My prayers are with you.

He will sleep and his breathing will slow. The breaths will be more spaced out and then he will be at peace. It may take a few days but if he is already very ill then it will be faster than than if he were healthy and without a feeding tube.
Play music for him, tell him your final good-byes and help him find peace with dignity and swiftness. Blessings to you. I hope your family stays strong through this difficulty.

Maybe a week with his medical problems but could be longer...Make sure he is NOT in pain and is kept comfrontable.
My heart is with you...my Dad has just been diagnosed with lung cancer at 71.....God Bless and let him go in peace.

well, when my sis went off her nutrition iv,she lasted about 11 days. one day she got off the couch,went to her bed and never moved again. each person is different but, between the pain meds he may be getting and no nutrition, he will most likely just lay down and lose all comunication. he may be able to blink to let you know he understands you but not for long.his body will eventually give out and he will pass peacefully. i am sorry to hear of his failing health. god bless.

A guy always cums fast when its their first time. and especially if he's been waiting for a long time. Guys are erect at least 5 times a day so what I would do is some foreplay until he ejaculates or the both of you for that matter its not fair that he has orgasms and you don't so get him to do you first and then once you finish he will be more than ready for his orgasm. then use a condom because that cuts down the sensations for him if he feels he is about to come prematurely then tell him to come out and do some more foreplay on you so he has time to calm down. the condom should work but if you want a baby tell him to take the condom of before ejaculation and then finish in you. the longer you wait to make him come with foreplay the quiker it will be because he has to get it out of him.
He also does need time because you are the only one he has been with so once he gets used to it, you can really enjoy it once he gets his techniques down pat. Tell him what you like. Get some books and videos also until you both are experienced. Or you could even have a quickie in the morning, when you get home and then at night. he will diffently last longer because his mind has been free twice already. You get on top of him and you control the situation. Also my boyfriend tells me that he thinks about none sexual things for a while to help control him, tell him to think about a sport or something that calms him. If that doesn't work then just do IT over until you are satisfied
