The more water in the jars, the greater the amount of water turned into wine, hence the greater the miracle becomes.
He changed from about 120 to 180 gallons of water into wine.
And better than average wine at that.
That's a lot of wine.

There wouldn't be room for anything else to be put into the jars. He wanted to be sure that no one could say that something had been put in them after they were filled. What i find interesting about the story is that when the wine was tasted it was remarked that it was the better wine. not the cheap stuff. The custom was to use the good wine first then when everyone was drunk bring out the cheap stuff because they wouldn't notice.

Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the
jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim. Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."
the drawing out process is easier when the jars were filled to the brim

I think it would be so that he could not be accused of adding wine to a partially full jar. If the jars were not full to the brim of water, how miraculous would it be if he just added wine to a partially full jug?

More wine = more fun at the wedding. More tipsy bridesmaids = more fun after the wedding. It's common sense.

Some say it was to demonstrate that the water had miraculously been changed to wine and not that something had been added to the water later.

The illusion wouldn't work properly if they weren't filled. I'm not a magician, though, so I'm not sure how he did it. You should check with Criss Angel or Penn & Teller - I'll bet that they could explain it.

He wanted to prove to mankind that He has the power as God and the Son of God., yet the Jehovah Witness dont seem to believe that he is the son of God and He is not God. Misinterpretation of the words of the bible.
