That is what the LDS or Mormon church teaches.
It all a bunch of baloney, from the pedophile and polygamist, Joseph Smith.
There isn't anything at all like that in the Bible.
In fact Jesus taught the exact opposite:
Matthew 22:30
For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.
Mark 12:25
For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

You've got the jist. But all people will have the opportunity to enter the celestial kingdom. If they did not meet the requirements in this life, then they will have the opportunity once in heaven. The celestial kingdom and other degrees of heaven is based on 1 Cor. 15: 40- 42 and yes you need to be worthy to be in the temple. It is sacred and it would be defiling it if i was stealing, or lying, or cheating or other such unworthy things and still tried to go in there. It would no longer be sacred. You wouldn't wear a Tiffany's necklace to go to the gym would you? or no shirt or shoes at an upscale restaurant. they wouldn't let you in. you have to meet certain requirements, just like the temple. and the interview has nothing to do with your social life or anything too in depth. They ask about your beliefs, if you are living a chaste life, and even if you feel you are worthy to go. Simple yes and no questions, stuff like that. They're not trying to keep people out. They want everyone to go, as long as they are worthy. You can even lie in the interview, they wouldn't know, but God would and so would you. But your base of everything is pretty correct. Much more accurate than some of these other comments :)

I don't know that my bishop inquired into my private life. The interview wasn't all that in depth.
Also, single people, especially single women, are not necessarily unable to enter the highest levels of heaven.
Also, when you say "you must prove yourself faithful and obedient" and "do everything commanded by church authorities" you make it sound like it's harder than it is.

You enter the Celestial Kingdom if you truly have a heart for God and know the gospel and live your life righteously. There are also three degrees of the Celestial Kingdom, and the highest degree of this Kingdom is devoted to those who have participated in temple marriage...and yes, you must prove yourself worthy to enter the temple because it is a holy, sacred place worthy of holiness and the utmost respect.

These are essentially correct, although the way you present it, is in such a way as that you feel like it is overkill. The Temple, in the LDS faith, is the most sacred place on Earth, being the Lords, house. So in order to enter his house, you should be held to higher standards. As far as the marriage thing, if you never get the chance to marry in this life, you will have the chance to marry in the afterlife. No one is denied the chance to get into the Celestial kingdom.

" I am The Way, The Truth, and The Life; no man can come to the Father except through me". -- Jesus Christ (Jn. 14:6)
" Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved". (Acts 4:12)

You've got the basics down. If you want to know what Mormons believe ask a Mormon. It's a little annoying (as a Mormon myself) to hear others tell me what I believe. There are many great sources, from Mormons, for info on what we believe. Here are just a few, hope they are helpful...

I just try to be a good person in this life. I think if I do that, I'll be OK on the other side. No check lists. No elaborate levels of "Heaven" needed. No heirarchies of earthly referees to throw flags on me for this or that. Me and God don't need any intermediaries. (Sorry churches)

Hey sweetie. Contradiction in terms. There are no Mormon facts. It's a cult, with no credibility at all. What's amazing is that people are so gullible. Run..........away...............
Jesus is God, not a man from another planet who was righteous enough to inherit the earth. Mormons will not become Gods themselves. This is idolatry and deception.
