I notice that Americans as a whole don't have chiseled facial features. They rarely have high cheekbones and defined jawlines. Is this a result of the diet?

This is a very interesting question you pose. I almost want to say no, because it would make sense to me for bone structure to be completely hereditary. Then I think about Evolution and over the last few decades (maybe even a century) or so, American's diets have been getting worse. Which of course could contribute to poor bone structure and such...you know, I'm not sure, but you do pose a very interesting question, thank you!

The high cheek bones and chiseled facial features aren't diet-related as such. But because a lot of Americans eat stuff that's not good for them, many carry more weight than they should- which results in excessive-padding, or its reverse image anorexia. Not to mention there could be problems with the bones themselves from insufficient calcium.

I believe that it is more genetics related than diet.
