I had the same problem. I just got my ear pierced through the cartilage and sleeping on the piercing was not comfortable at all.
The pillow shouldn't cause any bacteria to get into your piercing if you sleep on pillow unless you plan to sleep on very dirty pillows. ^^ The only problem really is the comfort issue. Your ears can get swollen if you lay on the them wrong way at night.
What I would do when I first got my piercing is to lay on my arm so that my ear was not resting on my pillow, but not touching my arm so it would not cause pain. That seemed to be good until the initial pain when away.
Also, if you are feeling up to it, I would recommend in one and a half to two weeks to take out your piercings in the shower and clean your piercing holes. Then after the shower put them back in. This helped my ears a lot with reducing infection. And it's easier to put them back in when your ears are wet, so you won't have to worry about your holes closing because you can't get your earrings back in.

As long as your pillow cases are cleaned regularly, it shouldn't be a problem.
Some people suggest sleeping on one side of the pillow one night, on the opposite side the next, then turning the pillow case inside out, providing four clean surfaces for your freshly pierced ears.
The most important thing with ANY new piercing is the cleanliness of your pillow case/sheet. A lot of germs and bacteria are in your sheets, so cleaning them often is a good idea, piercing or not.
If you got them done a week ago, you should be fine for sleeping on your side, just keep on top of their care other-wise.
Good luck.

It depends did you get it pierce and inserted a string into the ear or an ear ring? A lot of places start with a string and once the hole forms and dries then they cut the string and insert the ring. Well if it's the string it should be ok if it's the ring, and I hope its a small ring not a hoop, I would try a medication on it to keep it from infecting oh alchohol is great put some on it and you should be fine. It may hurt a bit or be a bit uncomfortable just don't go wild in bed. Try not moving so much.

As long as you're pillow is clean i say you should be fine. But if you're really worried adjust your positon and don't lay on them too much. When i got my ears pierced i moved my pillow to the end of my bed so i could face a different way and go to sleep. You could try that.

do not use alcohol. it will close the piercing. turn the studs, yeah, yet you basically would desire to approximately as quickly as an afternoon. once you sparkling, get some antiseptic, and positioned it on a cotton ball. sparkling around the ear, and kind of pull the earring to and fro to get the stuff into the piercing. do not take it out for 6-8 weeks, and make specific to freshen up any crust that types in or around the piercing (white blood cellular secretion, completely conventional).

If you sleep on your side, the best thing to do is keep the pillow clean. Since you probably don't want to change your pillowcase everyday and do laundry all the time, put a t-shirt over your pillow and pillowcase. Change the t-shirt every day, and it should help
