Hair spray will dissolve in hot water. I always put a dash of bleach in the hot water to make sure they are really clean. Make sure you take out all of the hair first. If you have a nail brush after you have soaked your brush( about 1 hour), rinse in hot water and scrub it down with the nail brush. It will look like new.
Good Luck

Wash it w/ strong shampoo or clarifying shampoo. Use an old toothbrush to get between plastic bristles if necessary.
Do not soak it if it is a natural bristle brush.

Wash it in the sink with hot water and a liquid cleaner like Lysol or Mr Clean. You should do this (and wash your comb too) every week.
