depends where in South Jersey. If you are going to the eastern side, as far south as Camden, then you can take the train from NYC to Trenton and then transfer the the river line. If you are going to around exit 4 on the turnpike, you can take greyhound to mount laural. If you are going to the west side you can take the train as far south as bay head. If you want to go as far as atlantic city, then you can take a casino bus.

Well it depends on where in South Jersey. I grew up in Pennsville, right by the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Easiest way was to drive up the Jersey Turnpike. Don't want to drive? take the train from Wilmington DE to NY Penn Station. Or greyhound from Wilmington DE up
