Letter of resignation.

Dear Mr. Smith:

Please accept this as my letter of resignation. I have enjoyed working for you and ABC Company, and I appreciate everything I have experienced and learned during my employment. My last day of work will be THIS DATE. Thank you again for the opportunity to be employed at ABC Company.

Sincerely,

ME

(I hope this helps. Good luck in your new endeavors!)

It is called a notice of resignation.
It usually a formal letter notifying your employer of your intent to resign. your work should have an amount of notice you are required to give ie 2 or 4 weeks before your intended end date.
If you are leaving for a specific reason and you want them to know thn you can put that in or if you do not want them to know just keep it short, and to the point.
Good Luck

just start with to the companies name and write when you will be leaving. giving at least 2 weeks notice is the norm so turn it in at least 2 weeks before you last day if possible.
