This question is for those who believe abstinence is NOT good. People who choose against it. People that don't want it. Why not?
Give me a real answer, please. I want to know your argument. I've been told the 'yes' side plenty of times, being a teenager... but why do some say no to it?

Abstinence is not biologically natural. Its not normal. The human body is built to do sex, it needs sex, just like it needs to breathe, to eat food, and to exercise. Abstinence is bad for the body and bad for the mind. Sexual tension requires release. It MUST be done safely, but it should be released.

People generally have 2 reasons against abstinence.
1) Most people like sex.
2) abstinence only doesn't work because somewhere near 90% of people end up having pre-marital sex and if you aren't given a proper sex-education then are more likely to have sex w/o protection and end up with STD's or kids.

You will find yourself as a sexual being and end up saying **** this abstinence ****. They only say it because they do not feel comfortable with teenagers having sex. They don't expect it to really prevent you from having sex for more then a couple of years.

I have all the respect in the world for girls who choose abstinence. And girls who choose abstinence can find out if a guy truly likes them or not. That's opposed to the usual put out like crazy and hope the guy will eventually "like you, like you."
**ATTN: Virgins and those who have chosen abstinence: ARE YOU ALIVE? The person before me doesn't think you can live without constantly having sex. He says the human body needs it like it needs oxygen. Tell him you are alive and EDUCATE him.

Because a lot of people want to test the waters before taking a dive . if you know what i mean. Also because its good to have experiences before you settle with one person, that way you know they are the one for you . but don't let us make up your mind . in the end its up to you .. good luck

Personally, I'm totally waiting until marriage for sex. I have a strong sex drive, but I know how to control it. Some people would rather give into the temptation.

some people say that you only live once and if its safe and you have fun with it then why not do it. Also sex is great exercise. ; )
