If you're comfortable with caffeine, coffee, tea, or caffeine fortified soft drinks will probably work. If you haven't take in large quantities of caffeine in a while, beware of the jitters and possible nausea. Cold air works wonders - crank up the a/c, or open windows on a cool night. Get some exercise every hour - something to get your heart pumping. If all else fails, try a 20 minute nap, and then splash face with cold water and begin again. Good luck!

Coffe and tea are perfect but in moderation. Too much and you'll be jittery and not be able to concentrate. You may also crash from drinking too much. I like to start with a big gulp and then sip throughout. Once you're done studying though, you may be up for a while with the caffeine still in your system so stop drinking when you know you only have like an hour left of studying or whatever.
Whatever you do, don't do NoDos or other pills. If you're not used to them you can overdose where you won't die or go to the hospital or anything but you can become nauseuos and really unable to concentrate. Their bad stuff.

well you might wanna try to sleep most of the day before that night for an all nighter! also finding something really interesting to do all night helps too, DONT lay down! dont think about being sleepy! Tea, candy, chocolate and stuff helps a lil but the main thing is stay interested in something you can do all night!

The successful all nighter must involve Red Bull or a similar energy drink. However, they are generally a bad idea and spreading your work out over several night will make you feel better and score better on the test/paper.

Caffeine will keep you awake but you need other things to keep your mind going so that it can keep taking in what you study while caffeine keeps you awake. According to the book "How To Pull An AllNighter" published by Lulu.com, keep eating pieces of candy bars every half hour during the night to keep your brain supplied with glucose. The brain uses 20% of all the glucose in the body, and even more during periods of high cognitive load/mental activity during allnighters. Keeping the bright lights on while you study also helps counteract drowsiness.

turn on as many lights as you can. if the room you are studying in is bright your brain will think it is still daytime and stay alert. also turn on some type of loud background noise. nothing you actually want to llisten to but maybe a mellow cd or the shopping channel.

Take a teaspoon of coffee powder.
Shove it into your mouth.
Force yourself to swallow it.
Wash it down with a cup of water.
I did that during my law exam and I was awake all night long.

Slap Yourself, it may hurt but also wroks wonders. Pinching yourself also works, basically anything to hurt yourself. Not too badly though. You dont want to faint and waste a night on your homework or studying ;)

Energy drinks might be helpfull also. Just avoid any illegal stimulants they are not worth it and will leave you feeling way worse the next day.
