Where do I go from here?

Me and my boyfriend have been together for almost a year and a half. He is much older than I am but we hit it off great when we met. The past year has been crazy, we fight when we aren't together but are fine when we are together. The problem is when he is going through something he takes it out on me (not physically; verbally). I was thinking we were moving in a different direction and we were going to get engaged and everything but I think me and him are going in different directions. I haven't met his family yet but he has met the majority of mine. I don't think he's cheating on me even though I know he is a flirt. I just dont know where I should go from here, I dont know if I should stay because I love him but I cant take his verbal actions; also im ready for marraige and I dont want to waste time, if he doesnt know by now then i should move on. HELP ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me honest,direct,short in the answer.For me,you're wasting your time with a guy who is very immature,insecure and has a very low self-esteem.Move on,forget about him ( is not easy) and look for a fresh start.Trust in this one.Good luck.
