Well, my first thought is definitely a reaction to something. Even though she has taken ibuprofen before, she could still get an allergic reaction. (that is quite a bit to be taking at once also, it is not recommended to take more than 800mg's at a time) If the swelling came within a half hour or so of her taking the pills, you need to get her to the hospital. If not, you still need to be cautious and watch, make sure that she is not having any problems breathing or swallowing. if either of those start to happen, call 911 as soon as possible. Good Luck!!

Sounds like an allergy to Ibuprofen. She could try 50mg of Benadryl to see if that helps the swelling. If it helps then she may be developing an allergy to Ibuprofen and she should not take it any more. Also, she should not take more than 800mg of Ibuprofen at one time as it is very hard on the stomach and can cause problems with her stomach.

I have no medical background, but I seem to remember reading this type of reaction could be serious. She may want to see a doctor.

Get her to a Vet for particular! in case you're genuinely not likely to take her to one, a minimum of attempt and supply her some Benadryl drugs. I had a canines that have been given bitten on the face and in the mouth with the aid of fireplace ants that have been given into his bone. (there have been none in my backyard and that they made an invasion sometime while he substitute into out in the backyard with a brilliant bone.) It made him very sick and in line with Vet I gave him Benadryl, 50 mg. each six hrs around-the-clock and made particular he substitute into getting some water. you particularly need to a minimum of ASK your Vet what to do and the quantity of Benadryl (in the experience that your Vet says that is okay) to apply to your canines.

That sounds like an allergy, it may not be something she ate, it could be something she touched. I would have her take Benedryl and see a doctor.

No but a hospital might be a good idea. Better safe than sorry . No offense intended but I hope it wasn't done by you.
