"Global Warming" = "Global Waste of Time"
There is no solid evidence that backs it up.
So belive what you want.
I wouldn't mind it to be 1 to 2 degrees hotter anyways doesn't effect polar bears living.
Want polar bears to survive stop visiting them in the zoo and leave them alone!

I think people believe in man-made global warming because it makes them feel important. So many people ask "how can we stop global warming" or "how can we save the planet?"

The fact is, the earths temperature is always warming and cooling. The current warming trend (0.6 deg C rise in 100 years) followed several centuries of cooling. We are still in an ice age, and ice ages are not the "normal" condition of the earth. It is normal for the earth not to have glaciation. The current warming is the earth trying to get back to normal.

Read a book, Dude, to be sure -but not Al Gore's book, please. That global warming is happening is NOT at issue -it IS happening, has been measured and documented. FACTS!

But the context is that global warming -and then global cooling and then global warming, etc. - has been happening for millions of years and it ain't gonna stop until the whole show is over -when the sun goes nova and then its gonna be VERY warm.

Do WE have anything to do with it? Of course we do! By our mere presence, even if we did nothing but watch Animal Planet all day, we make the place warmer than it would be if we were NOT here and all else remained the same.

The problem with the cry-babies and wacky doom-sayers who soil our intellect with their half-baked ideas is that they seem to think they just figured it out! I have yet to hear any feasible (by that I mean not just technically do-able, but also economically reasonable) means to deal with the heat -whereever its coming from. As to heat that comes from us, the single way that anyone can make less heat is simply to consume less -even if it is a little less.

Should we do this because Al Gore scares the poo out of us? I doubt. Do it because you like the place and want to show some appreciation for it -same as picking your gum wrapper off the lawn at the park. What's gonna happen is just that -its what's gonna happen. Meanwhile, act as though you give a hoot and ease up. I don't mean YOU in particular -I'm, talking about all those finger-pointing nut cases who burn energy in an attempt to make us believe their story, and THEN to sign on to their agenda.

Now, turn off the light and go back to sleep.

Check out the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change reports on their website. They have gathered reports from hundreds of scientists from around the world. Our planet is warming faster than the normal heating process, because humans have added carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases to our atmosphere. When they say the planet has heated up by 1 degree they are talking about the AVERAGE temperature of the whole world for the whole year. Also, that's at the equator. The closer you come to the poles the greater the increase of the average temperature - like 5 or 6 degrees hotter. This translates to much higher extreme temperatures, as well as greater fluctuations in weather.

you have to think that if the polar bear is in the zoo being feed, safe shelter, and always having a mate thats not bad. But global warming is a threat because our planet has a balance and most species for hundreds of millions of years have adapted to their enviroment soo much that a little change like one or two degrees could kill their entire species. I mean we could handle it but Im pretty sure some plant species cant just walk to a cooler place. And also the more CO2 we are giving off lets more UV rays and sunlight which means more skin cancer plus the reflected light off the water and the light thats hitting the polar ice caps causes them to melt and since they are the biggest storage of water on the planet you will expect to see alot higher high tides. And due to this increase of water storms will be more devastating and fierce.

If Al Gore says it is true, it is true. You do not think a politician would lie? The are the most honest people around.

The only evidence that they have is that co2 levels have risen and so have temperatures. The co2 levels that man has contributed is 0.03% of the earth's atmosphere. But they want you to believe that this small percent is going to destroy humanity.

The data shows that co2 levels were low during the early part of the 20th century. They rose slowly up until 1950' and then increased more rapidly after that. If the co2 theory is correct, temperatures should have risen by a small, but constant amount until the 1950's then increased more rapidly after that. What does the data show? Temperatures increase rapidly up until 1940, decreased until 1975, increased until 1998 and has been constant since then.

Now look at the correlation between sun spot activity and temperatures in the link below.
http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/Reference_Docs/The_Geologic_Record_and_Climate_Change.pdf
There is a much greater correlation.

There are other factors other than sun spots that affect temperatures. Volcanoes, and water currents (warm or cold) can override these factors briefly. Dr Jan Veizer study all of the theories and concluded: "There was no sign of greenhouse warming at all. Only the clear fingerprint of solar activity was left. For some reason, probably not known to greenhouse theorists and their scientists, greenhouse gases did not play a role in late 20th century warming. It was simply a matter of solar variation being clouded by El Ninos and La Ninas." This includes El Ninos during the nineties, that warmed up the planet.

“Personally, this last decade has been a trying period because of the years of internal struggle between what I wanted to believe and where the empirical record and its logic were leading me.”

The causes attributed to global warming are many and they affect much more than the temperature of the air. The same pollution that is blamed for the warming of the atmosphere is also directly or indirectly related to the poisoning of our water and air, annihilation of thousands of plant and animal species, and human conflicts (ex: auto exhaust is produced from gas that is refined from oil which can come from war-torn countries in the Middle East).

Whether or not global warming is "real" is a mute point. We still must address the same issues to prevent the world from becoming an uninhabitable wasteland.

Because it's a Religion to the godless. It's a way for Liberals to tax and punish successful nations - check out how the crooked Kyoto Treaty on Global Warming would have punished the U.S.

It's all liberal hype, backed by the liberal media, and other brainless, twits.

"Many blindly believe that our fate is in Gods hands, and their focus is on the beautifull heaven that awaits ,they are not to concerned with the world their children will inherrit there may come a time that for the sake of our survival the two views will be seperated in to Enemies and friends of the planet ..."
* Other than spelling, this guy who is "religious" about global warming (won't even comment on his spelling talentssss) should declare himself the new L. Ron Hubbard. Hey, Pal - I believe you'll be hearing from John Travolta shortly...

Please... :)

Oh, yeah - I'm one of those who believe in GOD. I believe that He controls this world's environment, as well as the universe. A few SUVs and spray cans from me (or billions of others just WON'T matter. Still, all you libs - Be afraid, BE VERY AFRAID... HELP ME!

Save me, Madam Speaker Pelosi!!!

YES, Jason - You are sooooooo right. Hey, doesn't matter that Global Warming is a FRAUD. Let's regulate ourselves to death...because it's the LIBERAL thing to do! "Liberal," meaning "stupid, wasteful, and useless," not to mention, "LIARS."

Can I get an "Amen," Algore? After all, you did invent the internet, right??? :) LOL...

Have you seen the reduction in global ice? Sea levels ARE rising. glaciers are melting at an increased rate. The worldwide temperature is higher.

Your statement is like saying I wouldn't mind my body being 1 or 2 degrees warmer. So what that it kills off my blood cells to fast. So what that my brain will only live half as long. At least I won't feel so warm in the sauna.

There's no solid evidence that you have a functioning brain either. Should we send an expedition into your head?

"Global Warming" exists, but it's a natural cycle that we barely understand and fear (since we don't understand it). It isn't about a degree or two, its about the IMPACT that change has!

Polar Bears? They're man-eaters. They don't need you protecting them.

Why don't you get your head out of the sand, your denial is not going to make it any less real. Even if you don't believe there is no reason why you shouldn't make changes that are better for our Earth regardless of if you think it's real or not. Recycling, reducing your carbon footprint makes sense even if you don't believe it. Although I can't believe that you really can't see the changes our world is going through, it's easy to see it's more than a matter of a few degrees it's a matter of survival. Wake up and educate yourself, please!
