What are you trying to be when u grow up... a jockey?
You should probably be eating more calories than that, but its a bad question. You also need to consider...
1) How much fat is in that? Are you basically eating ice cream all day and nothing else?
2) Is this spread out throughout the day, or you eating one giant burrito with extra cheese and calling it a night?
3) How much nutrition is in this 800 calories? Is it vegetables and fish or a family size bag of Cheetos and a couple of Slim Jims?
Calories aren't everything, but I'm guessing you could use a few more....

yes, it is too little. body needs 50cal/hour just to function (like when you are in coma) so thats 1200cal/day- and this is for a person thats up to 150lbs. If you are above 150lbs body needs about 70cal/hour.
if you eat that little you will lose water weight and muscle not fat plus slow down your metabolism dramatically which will make fat loss in future soo much harder and also you will gain back more than lost as soon as start eating normal again.
find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

When your caloric intake is that low...your body goes into starvation mode, and begins to hang onto fat cells, in a defensive position, in order to survive the famine.
So...you're hungry, cranky, and not doing your self any favors.
I'm 5'6", weighed in at 148 this morning....I maintain around 1500- 2000 calories of whole foods (not processed, preferably fresh and raw,(except meat) is what the human body does best on).
800 cals. a day is considered a crash diet...I believe it's called that because eventually, you're going to cave in, eat anything you can get your hands on , and crash!
Sensibility, and moderation, along with plenty of water and a fair amount of exercise is what works for me. Good luck!

Yes. You should be eating at least 1200 calories a day if you're trying to lose weight. Otherwise you should be eating like 1500 calories. If you eat too little then your body goes into starve mode. You won't lose any weight in starve mode. If you eat too little you're not getting the necessary nutrients and etc for proper growth and health.

The average calorie intake for a healthy person is between 1600 and 2000. If you are trying to lose weight, it's best to eat healthy and exercise regularly. Counting calories is just stressful and doesn't always work.

Based on your age you need 3000 calories per day,,In order to lose weight you need to reduce that to 2000-2500 but not less because you are too young and your body needs calories to build up..don't kill yourself,,800 calories is too little and you will harm yourself,,

If you stay in bed all day, you might get away with 800 calories, but thats no way to live.
Stick to low calorie density foods and you can eat a lot. Rule of thumb....if its processed, prepackaged, or ordered from a clown's mouth, you shouldn't eat it.

Gads! Don't starve yourself to death!
At the very least, drink plenty of water and eat lots of vegetables and fruits. Eat less frozen and canned products and very, very little meat for about a week. See what happens!

If you have a high level of activity it sould be closer to 2000. If you are feeling satisfied throughout the day and have a low activity level, then you should be OK as long as you keep up on your vitamins and minerals.

For a male, that is extremely low. You should be eating at the very least 1800 calories for daily function.
