It is good exercise. You are not wasting your time. It does burn calories, not sure what you would consider "a lot". Calories doesn't matter unless you are also considering how much you consume. Its good for your heart, and muscles, and it will burn some fat, but never a whole pound at a time.. no exercise should do that. If you ever exercise, weigh yourself, and lost a pound in the same day, it was water weight, sweat. You can only lose a few ounces of fat per day, so don't look for it on the scale. If you have a family history of heart problems, tell your doctor to give you a check up because you want to make sure your exercise regime is safe.
Happy jumping!

it is the best exercise in the world. Jumping on a trampoline is also known as rebounding. Rebounding stimulates the lymphatic sysmte and helps feld your cells.
While running only works you legs, jumping on the trampoline works every cell in your body. It actaully burns more calories then running and it eaier on your joints and back.
Jumping ont he trampoline increase body mass, bone density, and muscle thickness.
Nasa actaully uses this exercise after the astronaughts come back from space. Being in space the body loses bone density because of hte lack of gravity.
I have started doing this. I used a small little trampoline but the higher you jump the better for your body. Read up on rebounding it will tell you a lot.

Jumping on a trampoline can be great cardio. 10 minutes is good to start off with, but you should gradually increase your time untill you are jumping for at least 20 minutes at a time 4-5 days a week.

You need to get your heart pumping and in order to do that you need to work out a little bit longer than that. I normally do consecutive front-flips. You get the cardiovasular part of your body moving a lot more. Just have fun with it and you will probably be o there for a lot longer than 10 minutes.

If you break a pretty good sweat??? Definately!!! After it gets a little easier, up the time a few more minutes. If you are sweating, you are definately burning calories!

A trampoline is really bad for the knees! Find something a bit easier on the joints.

It's only good to get your cardio going... which is good for your heart. After that, you need to do toning... which requires more work. I'm working on finding ways to tone, so if you want to email me, do so!
