to not pretend to be what you're not. in other words: say for instance the girl you like is interested in trouble makers. dont go around being rude to everyone who looks at you just because you want to look "cool".
example: if you like star wars and a girl is making fun of it, then stand up for yourself and tell her that you think it's cool. girls like when a guy has a backbone.

Be yourself is exactly what it says. Don't make up lies or stories when talking to the girl of her friends. Just let her see the real you without coming on too strongly. If you are an annoying person, don't be yourself because you probably will not get the girl. That way, she can hopefully like you before the real you comes out.

To be yourself is accually quite simple, don't think about it. Just talk to a girl like you'd talk to your best friend. Ask her about the things she's interested in. Be nice, friendly, easy to talk to, and always listen as girls like to talk. Show a girl ur interested in her personality, rather then her body. And always, when you talk to a girl, look into her eyes.

Contrary to popular belief, this does NOT mean go ahead and fart, whine, complain and demonstrate all the reasons a girl should NOT date you, but instead to demonstrate your BEST side.
