To include fall out? Its possible but as far as a Firey death? No... In all honesty look at how big a bomb has to be in order to create havoc. there is a "Bomb a city calulator" on FAS.org That can give some referance to how large Nuclear blasts really are. But Chances are if you are no where near a city or place of strategic importance it is unlikely you will be hit or severly effected. Targets for a hard kill, especially w/ nukes, would be infrastructure and military related. IE Power plants, Naval Bases., etc.. Also, when making a hard kill you would typically hit a target with more than one peace of ordinance. Also, you have to think the systems are not 100% effective mistakes can happen and we do have a defense to their attack. Dont worry you should be ok. but wait untill they ahve relatively the same GDP and weapons we do. Aprox. 60 years from now. BTW I am an IS in the Navy...

Does it matter once that button is pushed. one, two, five or five hundred. It only takes one well placed nuke to ruin every ones day. While all the so called super powers have plenty of nukes. Not one of them wants to use them that's why its called a nuclear deterrent. You fire yours we'll fire ours. The global effect of one nuke strike would cost the country that launched it more then they can afford. Countries not involved in the conflict would be effected by the nuke. And sue the launching country in a world court and be bankrupted in a heart beat. Not to mention UN Sanctions and other international actions. So when you look at things over the long term. Nukes aren't the answer they simply act as pieces in a chess game. In a game that always ends in a draw.

In its 2005 Annual Report to Congress on the Military Power of the People's Republic of China, the U.S. Department of Defense noted that "China is qualitatively and quantitatively improving its strategic missile force," which could "provide a credible, survivable nuclear deterrent and counterstrike capability." The report identifies "approximately twenty silo-based, liquid-propellant CSS-4 ICBMs" as constituting China's "primary nuclear deterrent" capable of hitting targets in the continental United States.

Absolutely, they have the largest air force on earth, they could make pearl harbour look like a war game. They have the ability to send a countless number of planes, and missiles to the U.S., and they could do it so fast that there would be absolutely no way of stopping them, also the U.S. military is spread out all over the world, kind of hard to stop an attack if you don't have anything locally to stop it with.

From what I understand, at the present time the U.S. has overwhelming nuclear superioirty over China and at present, China has only about 20 ICBM's capable of hitting U.S. soil.
I have provided a link below to a resource that will help.

They will end up having enough ICBMs to reach every American city and they are in the process of building a naval capability that will include nuclear submarines. The U.S. needs to keep a sufficient number of next generation nuclear subs patrolling the world in order to keep the Chinese on their best behavior.

Why bother when they can drive the cost of fuel through the roof, take all our manufacturing and jobs and destroy the environment at will?
They ARE nuking our country, just not in the ways that one would find obvious.

Nobody's got that many bombs, but just a couple strategically placed would screw up up real good.
Of course, it would screw up everybody else pretty damn good too.
Feel better now?
