Try pinching and massaging the skin between your thumb and pointer finger. I know you said no medicine, but my mom has migraines, and she takes 1 excedrine migrain, and it knocks it! She had tried other meds too, even RX!!!! Good Luck!

Firoicet is a combination of tylenol, caffeine and a very mild sedative. I'm guessing that your migraines have a stress trigger if that's the med that works best for you. My husband has been on it. During the day when the puppy and kids are napping do not clean the house or call a friend! Instead lay down and do some deep breathing in the quiet. Research various relaxation techniques and try a few. Look up some neck stretches as well to keep the neck muscles looser which may help cut off the migraine before it takes hold. Also, next time your at the dentist have him check your TM joint and your teeth alignment - many people forget that a crooked jaw throws the whole neck/head off. Remember, even 15 minutes a day for yourself can really help. Good luck.

I feel for you and have twio suggestions the first is called Imagrin it is a prescription drug in Oz and also free in Oz this is the magic bullet I guarantee it will kill the things before they start. This will take the fear away, as you will know there is a safe place. Next feel the back of your neck, usually on the right side you will feel a lump, which is knotted muscle. THis is what is causing your headache it causes a loss of blood flow to the right side of the head, it is caused by tension, paradoxically in my case after the event never during. Caffine and alcohol are a no no both are causes of muscle tension. Immediate help is only available by hopping under the shower and running lots of hot water over this muscle and across the top of the head onto the forehead. Learn to understand the nature of the problem and you will be able to control them and eventually banish them. Vallium or Diazapan a muscle relaxent will also help but take them when you get the Aura not much good after the muscle starts to tense up. My sympathy is with you I know how bad they are (((HUGZ)))

Certainly stress adds to the cause and frequency of migraines and I know you are looking for something to get you through the 3 weeks until you can see the doctor but it is worth taking an overall look at your life. Try to find ways to reduce your stress or when you are stressed find something that you can look forward to as a reward to help you get through stressful times like a long soak in a bath with a glass of wine. I use aroma therapy and have several scents that I use when I think a headache is coming. I keep little vials of them in a cute little case in my purse. Scents that relieve migraines are individual and require a little research which is stress relieving in itself. I wish you the best of luck and hope you are able to find some relief.

Drink lots of water when an attack happens and I mean lots of water. 3-5 glasses at least!! You may end up visiting a little room in your house quite a lot but it might be still worth it!! One homeopathic medicine called Head-on for migraine (in the green box) works wonders for me! it should not interact with your current medication! When you can, stop at a gas station and get some hot chocolate if you have no sugar related illness, it is more effective than homemade hot chocolate!

Wow, that is a lot of stress! And it makes me wonder why you have such frequent headaches!
A good full-body massage can relieve a lot of pains: I used to give them to my mother all the time. Start with your feet, work on up your legs and back. Then massage your hands, arms, and shoulders. From there, work over your neck and scalp, then across your forehead and around your ears.
Needless to say, you will need someone else to help with that.
Another thing you can try is a good herbal tea, such as Tension Tamer. This should be available in your local supermarket. Adding a dash of powdered ginger and a spoon of honey will help settle your stomach, and perhaps even your headache too.
If you can find it, try rubbing a few drops of peppermint oil into your temples. But be careful not to get it into your eyes.
Good luck!

Some old fashion ways are to wear a headband around your temple area , hot/cold jel eye mask , sit and breath and close your eyes and sorta drift off in your own world, this always helps any pains I have that occur ..you can take 2 advil upon doing any of these things, sometimes advil doesn't help the pain , so take 2 ..relax ,bath or wind down ,apply a headband or eye mask, breath and close your eyes.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.

The thing that worked best for me was taking some painkillers and going to sleep as soon as I felt one coming on.
