Meth: Why would anyone want to put poison into their body? Is this drug that addictive? I have seen people loose their life, their looks, their teeth. Why??

This drug is very addictive and it interferes with the receptors in the brain and gives the users a feeling of Utopia or dystopia, which means it is either the feeling of utopia being in a perfect world or environment and a feeling of dystopia is feeling like everything is coming down around you and totally disrupted. They go for the good feeling each time and with each use the more and more damage this drug does to a person. Once it gets real bad people have gone as far as selling all their position's even their children for drugs. They don't care because it is the addiction that is controlling them.

And there is no real answer to why, people do drugs and drink alcohol to be in the crowd or to escape the reality of their existence. It gives them the false feeling that everything is alright.

Meth is the most highly addictive drug because it works fast and only last for a short period of time. If someone does it only once, out of peer pressure, feeling depressed, or just to experience, you will be addicted. Addiction is hard for some people to understand, its like at 100 times more powerful than being addicted to cigarettes, food, etc. Also meth does a great deal of damage to the brain so the person cant think straight, all they can think about is where to get the next dose from.

Because, unfortunately, some people make the deadly mistake of assuming they are invincible. Meth is insanely addictive - I hope I never get near it - that stuff is BAD, BAD, BAD news. You're right - it destroys lives. The problem is that once you try it once you can be permanently addicted and require constant treatment and monitoring until you die to make sure you don't relapse. I'm a blues-rock guitarist and I've seen people "party" but meth use is INSANE.

That's such a good question. I have addictive people in my family. I don't think anyone starts alcohol or drugs other than to feel a little better. Before they know it, they're hooked. There are peer pressure, insecurities, etc. etc. that trigger responses in people to take the risk of drugs.

Some people feel they are intelligent or superior enough to control the drugs they took for fun. Later they become slaves to drugs, unable to break free from its addiction.

well there are many many different reasons,
but obviously people don't take it with the intention
of losing their teeth and their looks.
some are just so desperate for a way to escape things that they are willing to put poison in their bodies..
they don't want to become addicted though.
it isn't as simple as it seems...
