Just reduce your calorie intake down to about 1200 and get more exercise than normal.

Trust me it works.

Good Luck to you!!

Hi, Sammy. Eat smaller portions. Eat six small meals a day, this will increase your metabolism. Which in turn will help you shed pounds. For a smaller stomach eat high protein, high calcium, low fat foods. Stay away from soda. I lost 20 lbs drinking water instead of soda. Stay away from greasy, fatty, high sugar foods. Walk (it will help you lose your belly and it's the healthiest exercise you can do.) Try aerobics and other exercises to tone your body and keep it "Even" all over. You can eat as many veggies as you like. Eat smaller portions. We consume a lot more food than necessary. After a while you will find exercising gives you more energy and you'll feel better. Some people have health problems that will not let them lose weight or certain med's will make you gain weight. You really should talk to your doctor to rule these out. Good luck.

You may already be doing this, but, eat right and exercise. If that is not working for you, you may want to throw your fears aside and ask a doctor, because it may be some kind of health factor that makes you gain weight, such as, hypothyroidism. There are blood tests they can do to figure these things out really easy. Please do not take any pills unless you know they are safe and you have your parents ok. There is some bad stuff out there that could really screw up your life.

I really hope you can do it, I am not far from you on the weight scale, but I am trying to eat right and exercise and so far I have lost about 5 pounds. So, if I can do it, anyone can!

It takes a ton of self discipline though, which I am not always good at, but when the weight starts coming off, it gives you the confidence and stamina to go forward!

You GO girl!

DO NOT be afraid to ask a doctor. They really will help you.

But if you are really determined, start eating 1 portion of protein and half a plate of veggies and fruit per meal 3 times a day and 3 snacks such as a gronola bar and an apple in between meals.

Find a sport that you like and do it for 20-30min a day 3-4 days a week. Here are a few to try: Cycling, Basketball, Jump roping, softball, soccer, rock climbing, gymnastics, dance.

Good luck sister!

You are on the right track, but at your weight, I would suggest asking a doctor. There is no reason to be afraid, they can't say/do anything that will hurt you, and she/he will applaud you for taking the step. Also, the doctor isn't going to do it for you, just give you the knowledge you will need to do it yourself.

If you try to start a program in this condition with no experience you could get seriously hurt. I know what I'm talking about. It can't hurt to speak with a doc. You're right, you do need answers.

Good Luck - Be well!

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)
