People are expressing more and more that all denominations should pull together under say the National Council of Churches or some other organization. Do you think this is the beginning of apostasy in the churches today that could lead to the Great Whore of the Book of Revelations?

On the surface, it sounds like a good idea, but what say you?

Sure, just pick up on your reading. At the highest levels it is one already, as far as Catholics and Protestants. Islam is just out for a time doing dirty work for apostate Christianity.

The wheat and the tares are ready for harvest. Apostasy has been around for almost 1,900 years. As far as a good idea? I would class it up there with throwing a bag full of rattle snakes onto my living room floor; and going about business as usual.

Meh, we're humans, there will always be the "Screw the Majority" party as long as free expression is tolerated, and even after that.

In the US in particular, religious fragmentation is the norm. Mainline Protestantism is slipping, Catholicism is gaining due pretty much exclusively to immigration, and the movers and shakers are Islam, atheism and Wicca. We're moving from a monolithically Christian culture to a more diverse one. Ecumenism is on the rise because there's another side to talk to now.

Yes, in two ways!
It is already in place!
All that will be left to all who couldn't truly care less,
one way or the other what religion they belong to...
Will believe in the "new order" of things on earth
where no religion at all will become acceptable
other than absolute loyalty to the government...
and all of these will accept...
And then there's another group who'd rather die
than comply...
And only those who worship the true God in the way
and manner that He wishes to be worshiped
will be left with what I don't even call a religion
but a way of life! Just as Jesus!
who belonged to no worldly or man-made Church!
and never would!
This is what I believe, yes! absolutely believe!!!
And will go on believing until Armageddon or death...
whichever comes first! is fine by me!!!

Oh brother the great whore... Come on- you watch way to many soap operas. The only reason to combine religions is to stop the people from bashing each other and killing over things that just aren't true. The great whore what a good god he creates everything knowing full well hes gonna kill everyone and send quite a few to hell. Dont get me started

One World Church sound way too much like one political party. Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. I shudder at the Brave New World.

No, it's rapidly becoming less real due to the rise of fundamentalism in Christianity and Islam.

I don't see any progress in that regard. We just need all churches to fade away. Blight on this country and the world.

I do believe that the one world religion is a false teaching. I don't know that it is the harlet the Bible talks about, but I do know that many will be misled.

No, quite the contrary. Religion is more fragmented today than in any other period of human history. It is this fragmentation that is spawning ecumenical objectives, and not the fact that all religions are merging.

I wouldn't join any religion, especially one that thinks that it will get EVERY SINGLE MEMBER to believe the same exact thing.
