I cannot imagine a God who rewards and punishes the objects of his creation, whose purposes are modeled after our own — a God, in short, who is but a reflection of human frailty.

I like that one, too.

I believe that there will be tears in Heaven...for a short period of time.
We will have to give an accounting of all that we have done. I believe that Christians will have to account for all those that they failed to witness to and this may include family members as well.
However, the Bible also says that God will wipe away all their tears!
I do not know how this will be done. I have no scriptural reference for this belief. I, like many others, have to rely on the scriptures that we have been provided and pray about the gaps. Of course the things that are left out really don't affect whether or not someone goes to Heaven so I don't worry overly about it either.

Yes. Any logical person can reason out that Christianity is nothing more than a social control mechanism.
Worshiping a being that coerces its most prized creations with promise of reward and threat of punishment in inherently demeaning. This is the archetypal despot of biblical days. It makes sense that the populous would view the "ultimate" lord as a magnified version of their own human lords, who they already bowed down to and feared.

It is an offense to an all loving and all mercifer God to think that he would allow a place of eternal pain and suffering to exist. There cannot be a hell or even a heaven where there is eternal bliss or people acting like drones just giving eternal praise and devotion to a god.

I easily have typed it a pair of time interior the respond section, besides the shown fact that that's see you later, i'm particular you ought to discover it on the internet. it fairly is nicely worth looking up. mom Teresa became into this type of magnificent occasion of what Jesus became into attempting to instruct and so became into Ghandi. because of the fact of this i elect to be a "loose spirit" and not belong to any prepared faith. there have been, and nonetheless are, magnificent, loving instructors in all religions. thank you for bringing Gandhi's quote to my interest, I easily have written it down and could pass it on once I get an risk.

I think whoever said it did not understand that those who will live with Christ will not be aware of their friends or love ones who did not make it.
God is a God of mercy and He would not let his children live in depression and sadness about knowing such information.
As new creatures with old things past, our minds will be 100% heavenly-minded, and anything about the past earth (and everything in it) will no longer be known. There is no death or crying in heaven. Heaven will not be ruined.

10000000000% wrong. Hell is a place to purify yourself and and get you ready to go to heaven. In other words before anyone goes to heaven then must go to hell to be purified.
