There is no "Jewish view" of Jesus. He is not mentioned in any of our texts.

My personal view is that if he actually lived, he was preaching just one of many versions of Judaism of the time. Unfortunately, his followers perverted his message and did their best to exterminate "non-believers."

If he actually claimed to be God Himself, then he was just another crazy Jew!

Johnnywalker is incorrect, as well as ignorant. Every jews opinion will differ, depending on what they choose to beleive, but most of us beleive that jesus was a man. He was in fact a jew. He may have had good teaching and values, but to the jews he was not a savior and therfore they did not treat him as a god or king. The jews have nothing against jesus, only that some people force jesus on them when they want little to do with him.

According to the bible, the Jews believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is a "stumbling block". I understand this to mean that they reject Jesus as the Messiah, and view - those that follow Him as the Messiah as contrary to their beliefs. This is a generalization, and is not necessarily the views of all Jews.

I'm not Jewish, but I have Jewish friends. They believe Jesus existed, but they don't believe he was the Messiah.

There are various opinions, but most see him as a great sinner. The reasons are:

1. He claimed to be the Messiah, but did not fulfill any of the prophecies.
2. It is a sin to say that God is a man, and to worship any image of God.

Some Jews, like the Muslims, believe that he was a prophet who's words were misinterpreted (that he never actually meant that he was God or God's son, and that he never claimed to be the messiah).

Some believe he was just a historical figure.

Seriously, it's like asking what the Jewish views are of Harry Potter. Jesus has nothing to do with Judaism, so why would Judaism have any reason to HAVE a view?
Incidentally, there is NOTHING written in the Talmud about jesus. That guy who claims it has never even read a word of Aramaic, I am sure.. hate sites are not valid proofs.

He was a good Jewish boy, for the most part. Although if he never married (DaVinci???), that is not very responsible. It is every Jewish man's duty to marry to increase the tribe.

Well almost everyone in the New Testament was Jewish and they were quite "keen' on the fellow.

But modern Jews as a 'whole' do not accept him as their Messiah. There are many Jews who do . . . but most don't.

He was a man.

Jews do not not view him as a prophet, despite what many non-Jews think.
