Around a week ago, my cat got his shots at the vet. He also had a tapeworm, which the vet treated him for (it appears to be gone now, thankfully).

Now, however, he is sneezing a lot - something is obviously irritating him.

Is the sneezing some sort of short-term response that can be attributed to the vaccinations, or should I look for some other cause?

Thanks for any answers.

Did your vet also treat your kitty for fleas? The drops that they put on the back of the neck. I had a cat that was allergic to advantage and that is what she did. Otherwise, I would call the vet and ask. I don't remember them sneezing after shots.

It's possilbe your cat could be allergic to the vaccine. My pup gets the similar symptoms after a shot. Ask your vet. They will be able to tell you more exactly which vaccine or meddication it is that's bugging the cat. For my puppy, they just have to give her a dose of allergy medicine before each vaccine so she won't get an allergic reaction. Hope this helps. Good luck with your cat.

whether you reside in a rural section, there's a serious care or emergency animal well being middle interior of three hundred miles. She can not locate the money for to attend 12 hours. Her physique will pass into marvel, her temperature ought to extensively drop, her tissues go through irreparable injury, she ought to snatch, or worse. Tissue left open and uncovered has super difficulty last, therapeutic, and gets contaminated. She is in extreme discomfort precise now and arranged till morning is very unethical and irresponsible. you are able to not replace what already befell, and outrage against the shooter isn't a concern. Getting your cat scientific care is the selection one priority. She relies upon you to grant care and risk-free practices. Now you and your mom would desire to step up and shield her. waiting is yet another style of cruelty to make her undergo, after she already suffered a heinous harm. do not make the grievous mistake of waiting. Wrap her in a towel to assist and restrict her, place her in a service (do not carry her interior the automobile, the place she'll get away and be too energetic interior the automobile), attempt to drag a duplicate of her vaccine record in case you have an genuinely available reproduction of the bill or reminders out of your conventional vet, and seek online for the closest serious care emergency animal well being middle. because of the fact of this such centers exist. For cats precisely like yours. make the main of them. Your cat would lose her limb at terrific, or her existence on the worst, in case you wait.

OH HERE IT IS:

"The most common side effect of the vaccine is occasional mild sneezing 10-14 days after vaccination. Mild reactions were reported seen in less than 2% of vaccinated cats."

It might be nothing, or it might be an allergy. Your vet would be able to figure it out.

Good luck!
