To answer your question, it is "generally" understood that Muslims call God by the name of Allah. YHWH, is the personal name of God given to Moses directly from God. YHWH appears in the old covenant(old testament of the bible) approximately 6500 times. Allah, does not appear at all.
YHWH, differs greatly from the term Allah in that it is 'GODS' personal name, while Allah is really a generic label that could refer to any GOD. Just like LORD. Remember, there are many "NAMES or LABELS" in history that have been used for a god. In Hinduism they have approximately 360 million Gods. However, YHWH was given to Moses from the creator of the world per the Bible. Every other 'title' is actually just Human made.
Also, there is proof that the actually term for God in Arabic is Ilah. Before the formation of Islam Arabia was a pagan society. In Mecca the Kaaba contained 360 idols. Archeology has shown that one of these idols was named Allah. Also, Within Islamic writings there were pagans before the rise of Muhammad that had names when translated means 'slave to Allah'. This is suspect that a PAGAN arab would have a name that meant 'slave to Allah', unless, Allah was a pagan God.

I'm not a Muslim, so I was a little hesitant to look at your other questions "to Muslims."
But yes, in Islam, Jesus and Mohammad are prophets, not God. Neither are to be worshiped.
In Islam, God is God, much like in Judaism. (the Jews don't think God is Jesus, Moses, Elijah, etc.

allah...but whether allah is the true god or not depends on what his teachings is...his teachings through his said prophet Mohammed is in the Koran....compare to the God of Abraham, his teachings are in the BIBLE...the two teachings are different ...therefore thse two Gods are not the same...God emphasised many a times int the bible that He alone is the ONLY GOD...THERE IS NO OTHER GOD BUT HIM ALONE...this brings to ones understanding of God's purpose of creating human beings:TO SERVE HIM,..TO SERVE GOD...however sad it is, satan influenced and distorted the minds of the human race to make other small gods for them: idols, material things ( riches ), created things such as the sun,...even allah...to be worshiped....so there you...before i go , let me commend on your statement above that Jesus is a prophet and not God....HE IS GOD...FOR THE TIME WILL COME WHEN ALL KNEES SHALL BOW TO PROCLAIM THAT HE IS LORD AND IS WORTHY TO BE SERVED...FOR HE IS GOD...GOD BLESS

Muslims say that God is God.
Allah is the Arabic word for God.
The reason why you will hear a lot of Muslims say Allah instead of God is because the Quran's original language it was written in was Arabic.
So Allah being Arabic for God, that what Muslims use.
Allah is not another moon god, as people say..Allah is God, and God is Allah.
basically there is no God but God(Allah) and he is one.
that is who we say God is.

The Lord of Abraham.
His name is ALLAH(Abraham taught his son Ishmael who taught all the Arabs who descendended from him.)
The same God the Jews call YWHY.
(Abraham taught Isaac but then They lost the knowledge of his real name after all the invasions)
Not the Trinity God of Christianity.
Jews and Muslims worship the same GOD.

Eh we say God is God.
The one and only God we refer to him as Allah true, but Allah is only the Arabic word for God. Even Arab Christians refer to God as Allah.
One God creator of everything in heaven and earth.

As God told Moses in the desert, "I am what I am". It is absurd and sinful to ask who God is.

occultism has much more on this sub. Mohammad was a disciple to the Master of Jesus and in another way is that we can say that the Maitreya is a disciple of Sanat Kumara who is the incarnated and the father of mankind and who will bring us all into a greater abundance of life.
